sometime during season 3, for reasons neither of us remember, we stopped watching The Americans. it definitely wasn't because we didn't like the show. somehow, it just fell off our radar. anyway, we've started it over and just finished season 3.
1) fuck the writers, for making me root for philip and elizabeth to kill paige. dammit, girl, either keep your mouth shut or go straight to the police/fbi. anyone else you tell is gonna just get dead. because i'll go out on a limb and say philip and elizabeth will have a much easier time killing them than killing paige.
2) yeah, pastor tim is a goner. i assume they'll have to kill his wife, too, just in case he told her.
3) the arc with henry's crush on mrs beeman is... odd. no idea why they're including that.
4) i half expected philip would have killed martha by now. poor martha. but now she knows better, and is clearly a traitor. boooo martha.
5) you'd think maybe an unexpected suicide by the owner of a company repairing fbi machinery (in her office?) would at least trigger some sort of investigation.
6) are they really going to have philip bang kimmy? i assume that situation is causing more of his turmoil than most of the killings.
and not specific to season 3... i completely forgot margo martindale was in this. between The Americans and Justified, this was a good time for her. And, kick, I assume you've watched The Sticky? i only watched it because i saw she was in it.
