GSP is very excited about figthing Nick Diaz. Now, he probably didn't punch his best homeboy in the liver and light up a blunt to celebrate the announcement like the entire city of Stockton did, but he did tell the Canadian Press all about his excitement in a recent interview.

"I know Diaz, the way he is, he's the kind of guy I'm happy to fight. I like fighting guys who are not easy like this, that have a kind of warrior spirit."

"I don't know him as a person but he's a very exciting guy to watch. I'm happy to fight him. He's going to bring the best out of me, because he's always putting on a good fight, going forward. It's going to be a good fight for me."

"I'm excited, because it's been a long time he's been talking about me, saying like he's the best, he was saying I was avoiding him and stuff. But I never avoid anybody. Now it's time to walk the walk. It's going to be a good fight."

That last part was a little bit of Stockton gangster coming out of GSP, I think. Although he has to be sure to clarify what exactly he means when he says 'walk the walk' to Diaz. Nick might read that and go all westside and break out some Crip Walk footwork on him this October. [source]

The absolute safest bet ever is GSP by decision. The only way GSP ends this early is if he prematurely ejaculates and can't go anymore. We all know this is going to be another boring man hump fest.

I will say the length and jab of Diaz has the potential to make this interesting. He should be able to keep GSP at a safe distance making him shoot in from too far out. But we all know Diaz doesn't mind going down and being on his back.

:mj07:

gsp, break that groin over diaz for 5 rounds

:scared

 :nono:

Hopefully all of Diaz's trash talking will get under gsp's skin and make him want to stand with him. I can't wait for that belt to go around Nick's waist!

Diaz itd = $$$

I sure hope sixfive is joking......Diaz has no chance of beating GSP....none.

There is nothing Diaz can do to beat GSP....nothing.

It will be an easy 5 round win for GSP.

Diaz is a tough fucker so he'll last 5 rounds, but he has nothing to beat GSP....nothing.

Diaz hasn't fought anyone in top 10 since 2007 and now he's fighting the best fighter in the history of MMA. Not looking good for Diaz.

Diaz will get toyed with, simple as that.

GSP will finally get respect from sixfive and whathisnuts once he beats the amazing incredible bad ass Diaz. At least some good will come from this fight.

I laugh how so many think Diaz is the 2nd best in the division. Well GSP is going to toy with the second best in the division....just watch.

Stockton motherfucker:lol:

Umm, I totally respect GSP, and I think he's an awesome face for MMA. However, he's boring and doesn't finish anybody. This might be the biggest ppv card the UFC has ever had if they hype it right which I'm sure they will. Diaz itd!

I can guarantee u gsp will not outbox Diaz like he did Kos!! Gsp can only hope to take down Diaz and lnp for the victory; he has no other game in this fight.
