Shortly after watching this in 2013, I inherited a full-size standup Donkey Kong. Got some wonky coloring going on at the top, but still plays perfectly. I topped 300k a couple times but that's as good as I ever got. And once you get out of practice you gotta put in soooo many hours just to get back again. Now it's mostly for my kids and their friends - so they have a sense of video game history and to understand how truly merciless games used to be.
I know that one day I'll go to turn it on and it just won't. Harder and harder (and more and more expensive) to repair those things. Most of those components just aren't made anymore so once they're all gone that's the end.
And Billy Mitchell IS a douche.
