Bobby you know soccer is a thinking-man's game, so that excludes roughly 99% of the posters at this site.

Pretty much--I'll be watching for sure, and can't wait for the World Cup this summer...

I Will be in Italy for their first round match Vs England on June 14th....should be explosive!!

Agree, but I'm also a biased Howard fan. I grew up playing on a NJ state select teams with Tim, we grew up about 15 minutes away from each other and drove to many a practice together.

The US team has looked capable, it's unfortunate we drew such a tough draw. Perhaps what's a bigger obstacle is the ridiculous travel for the Americans....3 games, 9000 miles.

I think the draw will turn out to be easier than it looks (playing a European team in the rain forest, Germany may already be through when we play them) but even if it's not, I've always liked the US chances against the giants than the minnows. They've had some huge results in the last twenty years.

"I believe that we will win...."

Barca comes to the Etihad in a couple of weeks.

Did you see that city is taking on olympiacos in New York for the preaseason?

Is that part of the International Champions Cup or just a regular friendly? I saw it was announced that Man United and Real Madrid were going to play in Ann Arbor as well, and I know Roma is in the field next year.
