It's gotta be pretty obvious at this point he just isn't going to hack it in poker and make a living. Very few can. He's personable and edits his videos like a pro- he should look to parlay the vlog into something in production, etc, where he has the potential to make enough to live off of.

He should make money off the vlog thing but he's gonna have to get 10K subscribers and hookup with https://www.patreon.com
Some people are making some serious money off that.

AND, I think he'd be better off playing 2/5. One thing, the 2/5 players are a little better and don't call down everything. They actually fold sometimes. Plus, he'll win more money on his winning days. He's in a horrible rut and it happens. He might be off his regular game and not realize it. Who knows. He's run into quads more in the last few months than I think I have ever seen in a lifetime of playing.

He seems like a great guy. I am really cheering for him. That said, I don't think his goals are lofty enough. Who wants to scrape by living in that place? I am not saying that you need to drive a BMW and live in a mansion somewhere to be happy. But come on. He needs to work harder. Or at least be more productive.

He is lazy. Don't give me this shit that there isn't enough hours in the day. The guy works 3 or 4 nights a week dealing cards. He lives by himself and has no kids. There are single parents out there that go to school, raise their family and work full time.

No time to workout?
No time to play poker?
No time to have a girlfriend?

Come on.

If I was his buddy I'd call him out on all of that BS. He is always running late. WTF is he doing all day?

If his goal is to do as little actual work and still "get by" then fine. But does he have health insurance?

He needs a reality check, figure out what he wants out of life and DO REAL WORK.

Again, I am not a hater. I love the videos and I truly hope that he finds what he is looking for. To me, it seems like he is content "getting by" and isn't motivated to do anything more than that.

The vlog has to detract from his poker. His sleeping patterns are horrible. Poker takes mental stamina. His life, he seems to enjoy vlogging, so more power to him. But I think his poker will be less than ideal if he vlogs as much as he does. Definitely a likeable guy.

No time to have a girlfriend?

That is the worst thing that he could do.

I totally disagree, I think he has found what he's looking for. He lives in Vegas, he plays poker and he does his video blogs. He seems very happy to me and that is all that matters.

Hard to believe he gets aces and kings cracked as much as he says and he sure runs into quads a lot. It's starting to sound like nothing but excuses if you ask me.

He strikes me as an honest guy, I don't think he is lying.

As for your excuses remark I said this before and 6/5 and others blasted me, but I'll say it agin. You are not always the best poker player at the table. It is great to be confident and all, but guess what sometimes you are getting beat by better players. You are not always the best player at the table, you just are not. He always thinks he is the best poker player in the room, guess what he isn't.

On the other hand, I do agree that he has horrible luck.

Oh and for those that think he's lazy, you do realize those vlogs he does take lots of work/time.

With the amount of subscribers he has now he's already making some cash, not huge money but he's already getting some revenue. He works very hard on those vlogs and it is nice to see him make some cash off of it.

He's losing to stupid bad players that don't know they should fold then they catch the cards and beat him. He's running very bad.

It takes him at least 3 hours to edit and upload the video each day, he deals for 8 hours, he sleeps for 8 hours, so that leaves him 5 hours to play poker and take care of normal daily things like eat, do his laundry, do the vlog, drive between stops, get a haircut, whatever. I think he's busy as hell.

Yep, you nailed it, that is why I totally disagree with PocketAces when he says he is lazy, I don't think he's lazy at all, the vlog alone takes tons of work.

He said he deals three days a week. That is 24 hours. 5 videos a week. There is another 15 hours. 8 hours of sleep there is 56 hours.

95 hours to "work" and sleep. That leaves him over 10 hours a DAY left to play poker and normal daily life. Which he doesn't have many responsibilities.

Don't try to convince me that a guy that works 24 hours a week at a job is too busy to play cards.

And his shifts at the Linq seem to be FAR less than 8 hours more often than not.... Even if he deals four nights a week it is much less than 30 hours total.

There aren't 10 hours left in a "DAY" when you deal for 8 and sleep for 8. Can the guy get a day off?

And he deals more than 24 hours a week and he works much more than 24 hours a week because the vlog and playing poker IS work to him.

He needs a reality check, figure out what he wants out of life and DO REAL WORK.

24 hours dealing. It's more like 32.
18 hours vlogging even at only 5 vlogs a week.
24 hours of poker a week at least.

That's 66 hours of work a week but definitely more than that and you call him lazy? I disagree, that's all.

If he is truly busting his ass and giving this an honest 100% effort then he has even bigger problems. Because what he is doing isn't working. Being lazy would be the easiest problem to fix.

A few weeks ago someone here posted a tool that you can see how much youtubers made each year. How much is he making now from youtube?

He HAS to be banking on that growing in the future right?

I'm not sure how accurate this thing is.

I've been in poker slumps like he's in too and it sucks. It can go on for years too.

He was winning for the longest time, averaging I think it was $22 an hour but man, he's lost thousands in the last 6-8 weeks.

You're right, something has to change.

Agree with switching to 2/5

1/2 is a minefield of idiots. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Lots of idiots at 2/5 too though and plenty of bad players for him to beat.
