How the hell can you view your opponent's hand? That's crazy! I'd never play on a site like that...
you have always been able to see the opponent's hole cards on a CALLED hand (in internet poker). Otherwise, you can't see what they had, so if she had folded when he had the trip 3s, he couldn't have clicked to see her hand. If you win a hand in live poker after being called, you can request to see your opponent's hand even if they muck and do not show. I think actually that anybody at the table can request to see them, but of course it's considered bad etiquette. I like to throw my losing hands into the muck always instead of just discarding them face down in front of me for that reason.
I liked this video, and I totally agree. The game at the Venetian is harder, and even though I like everything about the location including the casino, the poker room, the best drink service in Las Vegas, and the beautiful girls that are always there, I generally don't win. I feel the trooper 100% with his comments on the Venetian. My plan when I get out there in two weeks is to avoid it like the plague even though it is one of my favorite in Las Vegas.
I have never played at the Orleans, but it is always very busy. I have fared the best at the center strip Harrah's casinos poker rooms on the weekends. Harrah's, The Quad, Flamingo, and Bally's. They usually aren't that busy except on the weekends, but I find the competition to be the weakest. I have never played at PH where he always goes, but peripherally, I don't like the layout of that poker room. I do love that casino. I think the south end casinos are pretty soft too, but I just don't like the south strip at all, so I generally avoid that area altogether. I think I'll concentrate on those Harrah's properties on the weekend and probably the Aria or Bellagio if I get out on a weeknight. I'm planning on concentrating more on poker when I go back too not because it's my favorite thing to play (it's actually 4th on my list behind craps, roulette, and BJ), but because it's my best game with the highest probability of me winning.
