Has Guida ever won a fight in any other way other than Lay N Pray?

His power couldn't knock down a 5 year old on crutches.
His kicks are so soft guys think they are getting a massage.

He acts hyper and has awesome takedown skills, but as mentioned, never does a single thing with any of them.

I thinks Dana's silence on twiiter about this fight speaks volumes.

I HOPE.

kegray.......Dana said that Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard are ahead of Guida.

So that'll make ya feel better. Dana (as does 90% of the MMA world) wants Guida to lose.

You imagine a Maynard/Guida title fight:mj02:

What he does is not fighting.

It's not wrestling.

The motherfucker just stays in one position and pushes down into the fence!

This guy is the death of MMA - this fucker has to be stopped !

Well Diaz is now fighting in the UFC.....maybe bring in Melendez to fight Clay In Pray:shrug:

Dana is in not pleased......but what does he do:shrug:

Who is Guida going to fight.....

What would you do kegray....ya can't cut him...he's won 4 straight fights:shrug:

The big rumour is that Hioki is about to sign with the UFC. Hioki has hinted that he'd like to fight at 155. Fuck, maybe sign Hioki and maybe Dana can say "beat this Guida guy for me please". :mj07:

So kegray, ya can't cut him....and ya want him to lose...but he keeps winning....so what do you do:shrug:

Dana during contract negotiations with Hioki......

"I got a fight for ya." I will give you 250 grand cash if you beat this Guida guy for me." Then when you beat him you can drop down to 145 and fight Aldo"

What would I do with Guida?
I would continue to put him on lame free tv cards against medicore competition and make him win a few fights not using his same boring tactics in order to advance.
Dana knows this is a business and you can't market him.

It seems that telling Clay this would fall on deaf ears though.

You might be right kegray........but if Guida wins 6 in a row then what ya do:shrug:

Maybe it is time to do something drastic and make sure he doesn't win 6 in a row.

If ya don't do something drastic then how about Jeremy Stephens:shrug:

Guida thinking he deserves fight of the night tells me he is missing brain cells.
This guy must love to look at himself in the mirror every morning.

Clay has been in some exciting fights. Is it his fault Pettis couldn't stop his take downs or the ref wouldn't stand them up when there were stalemates in the fight? I can't blame Clay here when u have refs that need to step in and do something. Pettis was extremely dangerous on the bottom and Clay did some great work avoiding the submissions. Pettis couldn't stop the take downs and Pettis needed to just grab and hold to stale the fight but he wouldn't. These are Pettis mistakes but he is young and needs to learn. Terrible matchmaking blunder matching a number one contender with a guy with this kind of style. My real problem here is the same old problem. U have Pettis trying all these submissions but none of those count but a take down does. Kingsbury was the perfect example. That beatin he took and all the great body work his opponent did and a few take downs by Kingsbury win him the fight. A fight no way he should have won. Pettis must have gotten a few shots in tho because some of those comments from Clay (after the fight) were borderline on insanity :mj07:

This is my biggest issue with Guida.

He gets into these wild haymaker flurries with guys and every guy falls for it because they know they will get the better of it with Guida's lack of power. Guida strikes for a takedown in the middle of the wild haymakers when you are not in proper takedown defense mode.

Guida never tries to pass guard and it seems the guys on bottom always try more submissions and throw as many strikes from bottom than Guida. Outside of throwing a few midsection knees, Guida's only go to move from mount is the shoulder thrusting.

I think Guida must train thinking if he can get two takedowns in two rounds and stay there for 2 minutes each then how can he lose on a decision.

i finally figured out why Guida has that long hair. I always thought this hampered him in a fight. Who would want to fight with that shit in their face all the time but with Guida's style i now see why. Pettis was having all kinds of trouble with that shit poking him in the face and eyes while Clay laid on him :mj07: It has to be annoying spitting that shit out of ur mouth every five seconds.

Wasn't able to see the fights until this morning, so in case anybody didn't already know, I can't stand Guida and all these stupid lnp wrestlers. What a disgrace!
