I'm always surprised that nobody mentions this show.

I really like the format and style. And there are some proven fighters from its ranks now.

Anyone else excited about the new season?

I do think that the impending coach match-up bout is the least appealing of any season so far.

Thoughts?

Im in. Also surprised nobody ever mentions it. Same with the contender in boxing:shrug: . Im watching it now but not paying much attention. Have it taping in the other room. Kickserv watches all this shit but for some reason he won't talk about it.:shrug:

The Contender Mui Thai was one of the worst ideas EVER for TV, though.

I do think the boxing on The Contender is usually sub-par, but the editing of the show with the brief slow-mo and sound effects makes the show work for some reason.

I was impressed by the 1st LHW who TKO'd that guy pretty quick. I was also impressed with the other LHW who put the choke on.

I was most impressed with the blonde kid. The fainted kid looked DECENT, but very sloppy. The other guy had several chances to take advantage of his mistakes. But he was the most impressive other than the blonde.

Really? I am pumped to see these two guys fight. Both guys are so damn good on the ground, it makes for a fireworks of a fight.

Typically, how the two interact on the show make good to build up the fight.

I thought BJ/Pulver was the least appealing. Specificly because just about everyone in the world knew who was going to win.

If that kid would have won im not to sure they would have showed us all that garbage coming out of his mouth. I think they save that stuff so we could watch him make an ass out of himself. got that dawg?

I think Mir has a better chance of beating Noguiera then Couture does of beating Lesnar.

And as Sponge knows.....kickserv has watched every season and every episode. Show is all about editing, and I think they do a good job with that. Also, imagine being the camera crew that has to stay in that house 24/7 and film a bunch of guys going nuts all the time...not fun not fun. Over the years there have been some great moments, but nothing beats when Jeremy Jackson jumped the fence for that chick. That was priceless. And oh by the way, Jeremy Jackson is in some huge trouble now, looking at 25 years in prison (if not more).

I'll wont miss that opportunity also. Anything can happen but i don't see Mir winning. I bet Nog opens up at 220 or somewhere around there. 110 would be nice tho. Very nice.
