Did you hear Desantis last night in the Town Hall? He said Trump was to blame for a lot of the inflation in the US. He said Trump shutting the country down and handing out trillions in free money (including PPP loans that didn't have to be repaid) had something to do with it. What say you?
I didnt see it i never got a ppp loan

Thousands of business owners got loans they didn't have to payback, including Republican members of Congress. More money than Biden wants to credit in Student Loans.
I hope the economy grows and everybody makes a fist full of money and can live comfortable and prosper

Are PPP loans still available 2023?

Unfortunately no. Because eligibility for the program ended in May of 2021, no new applications can be submitted for a PPP loan in 2023.

People also ask

Do you have to pay back business loans?

How many business loans were forgiven?

Did businesses have to pay back PPP loans?

Are business loans forgivable?

IMO no loans should be forgivable! And bottom line is who borrows and wants to renege..has a to consider consequences when they barrowed.

I clicked on Wayne's search and here's the second article:
“This was a program designed for small businesses,” then-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said, as companies like Shake Shack and Potbelly made headlines for grabbing millions from the newly created Paycheck Protection Program. “It was not a program that was designed for public companies that had liquidity.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was even clearer. “We will go after those big companies that cheat the system,” he told Fox News that spring.

But the tough talk hasn’t translated into action. Instead, a ProPublica review has found, the government gave out generous loans to companies that may not have needed them. And it has often forgiven the loans, despite having said that publicly traded companies would be unlikely to merit such generous treatment.
Biden gets a lot of the blame, but most of the seeds were planted by the Trump administration.

Did a little more thinking on this i never applied for a ppp loan but ever loan i have gotten i paid as far as student loans i paid mine back as well as everybody i know that took them but that was 40 years ago my question would be why are we forgiving them now the unemployment is supossed to be at record lows and wages are supposed to be up. The only money i can remember getting was a couple of stimulas checks that i didnt need so they were donated to St Judes and Wounded Warriers

You didn't apply for a PPP Loan because you're probably not a business owner. The Trump administration gave them out and didn't make sure they were paid back. Complete failure. If you read the article, the Republicans knew the program was being abused (see Jack's example) and they did nothing. Then they gave eveybody free money and had the BALLS to blame Biden for the government "printing money".

I paid all my loans back too. I went to an expensive private university and my loans were somewhat high 25 years ago, but they weren't anything like they are today, so I can see the need to do something. Unlike the tax breaks for the rich, the money that would have been paid back by the student borrowers is likely going right back into the economy. I agree that nobody should be taking out loans that they can't afford to pay back but the cost of education has gotten out of control and needs addressed.

If things stay on this current path, Biden should win easily in 2024. But, we are a nation of morons, so I wouldn't put it past us to vote against our best interests and put the con man back in charge.
