Just finished this Friday. 1,550 LF of woven wire fence with 2 strands of barb wire.
they have goats, alpacas, and a big white dog to protect the animals.
The white dog look like this?
Great Pyrenees bred for herding. I have one and they are the best dogs ever.
yes it is that dog.
the dog would not come out from the shade while we were there during the day working. It stayed in the area watching the goats. They had a creek and he layed in it.
I know they are bred for night protection.
does your want to be outside ALL the time ?

the problem with wood posts is you cant concrete them, you have to tamp them
in. All of the guys have to do it with this many posts. When you get home you will feel like your wrists are falling off.
Not that you care, but total job fence took a week for the woven wire. another 3 days for hanging the Ornamental gate and gate access controls.
I have maintained my welding shop. We make most of the gates ourselves unless they are special order slide type cantilever gates.
I make out like a bandit on custom gates. I spend alot of time there and still weld
quite a bit.
I could post alot of gates I have done. naaaaa

The Peter Meter: gives new meaning to the old "let's get out a ruler and measure it" phrase. Relevant to this class, and some discussions we've had in the past.
So, my great-grandmother passed away, and my parents had the task of cleaning out her house, deciding which items were considered heirlooms and which were considered trash. Among the "collectibles" (I come from a line of self-proclaimed "pack rats" with some of them breaching into hoarder tendencies), my mother found this and my uncle laid claim to it. I tried to scan it but gave up and instead found an image via Google. I don't think you can read all of them, so this is what they say:

Notre Dame officially has a starting quarterback for 2014.
On Wednesday, head coach Brian Kelly announced Everett Golson will get the nod.
Golson helped lead the Fighting Irish to the 2012 BCS national championship game before missing the 2013 season due to an academic suspension.
Sophomore Malik Zaire was also in the running for the starting QB spot, but most anticipated Golson would be the pick.
Notre Dame opens its season on Aug. 30 at home against Rice.

Update 3:18 PM ET: Notre Dame officials were originally scheduled to address the situation at 3:00 ET, but our source tells us the details leaking early (and the ensuing media blitz) has caused delays. A statement is still expected Friday, but the exact time is unknown.
Update 4:17 PM ET: via @CampusInsiders, up to 22 current and former Notre Dame players could be involved in this scandal, and up to the last four years of wins could be vacated.
Update 5:36 PM ET: Notre Dame has officially addressed their ongoing academic fraud investigation in a press release here. The university will hold a press conference (originally scheduled for 3:00 PM ET) at 6:00 PM ET ? you can stream it live online here.

Multiple sources have told us the individuals involved are WR DaVaris Daniels (recently reinstated after an academic-related suspension saw him leave Notre Dame for the Spring semester), CB KeiVarae Russell, DL Ishaq Williams, and LB Kendall Moore. All four are important players for the Irish, and losing them would be a major blow to Brian Kelly?s 2014 campaign.:facepalm::0074

Apparently, a university official had been helping football players cheat over the past two years, and owned up to it to their higher-ups. The cheating was not related to Everett Golson?s cheating suspension, and Golson is reportedly not involved in this situation.
We?re still trying to find out more about this developing situation, and we?ll provide updates as they become available.

Our lady's university did themselves proud again today. Self-policing. Informed the NCAA and then the public of the issue and won't let the kids play while they investigate. Doesn't matter if you're a starter, doesn't matter if you're the quarterback. You act as an ambassador of notre dame or you don't play for notre dame.
