It must be interesting in Colorado - seems like people fall to one extreme or another there. Not much in the middle. Must be why Haggard did so well there - he could please half the people all the time, and then go down the street to party with the other half behind the scenes.

Nah i never had a problem but i have seen people with a problem and its not a nice site. I never had a problem with drugs. I have a big bottle of Percs in my room and take one once in a while . Now i let a buddy move in with me (huge freaking mistake) who was down on his luck and if he knew these were in my room he would finish them in a week. Some guys just can't handle it for some reason. My problem is beer. Weekend warrior i guess they call it. I got a brother who also lives with me and that kid can smoke the rope. Every freaking day five times a day. Him and his buddies sucked me into taking a hit the other night and after coughing my ass off i thought the police were outside. I can't handle that stuff either. I also think of some weird shit when im high. Not like the brilliant stuff i post here.

Yeah, that's an understatement... This is one crazy state - from Colorado Springs entrenched with NORAD and other military strongholds and religious nuts... to Boulder, an extreme liberal mecca filled with pot-growing hippies and yuppie cokeheads, to the cowboys on the eastern plains and the ski-bums in the mountains, don't really know what's going on out here... Lived here for 10 years and in the process of getting out...like someone once told me about Boulder, and could apply to all of Colorado, it's 20 miles surrounded by reality. Easy to understand why nuts like this guy fit in out here.

My friend went to CU and lived in Boulder for quite a while. He was sorta normal before he got there, but is actually clinically crazy now. Something happened to him from being in that "20 miles" too long.

Maybe Republican gays still feel guilty about being gay. Or maybe they don't like the flamboyancy of liberal gays or hate Rosie O'Donnell so much that they'll be opposed to whatever her agenda is. Or maybe they like 90% of everything else on the republican platform and just put up with the general anti-gay sentiment.
