No, if it's a tie hand its like a push, no winners & no loosers :) Just go on to the next hand.
They do offer a tie bet its like a Prop bet and you bet that the next hand will be a tie, if it is you win (i think 8to1) if it lost you just lose the tie bet... But its a bad bet no matter what

love the de la hoya bet! all your comments are right on. straight up is just fine. putting that type of number -270 in a cross sport parlay may have been better served. but, i am right there with you. this is pedro against the devil rays, johnson against milwaukee. lay the big money for a comfortable return without a sweat.

oh yeah, NCAA forum...

Vargas is a maniac. He will destroy Hoya. Also Hoya is all about being a pretty boy these days. Look for the ref to stop the fight around the 4 or 5th round.

Vargas +250==300 to win 750

Sorry it was nice having you around

I'd suggest finding out who Don King is in bed with first. His fighters always seem to come out smellin' like a rose. Last memorable one was the Lewis/Holyfield fight Part I. Lennox kicked that ole man's ass and look what he got. A draw and a rematch, just like big daddy Don had requested!

Oscar's last few fights have been very unimpressive, and lots of folks agree that his intensity and attitude in regards to boxing are not there anymore. I have seen a lot of fuhked up decisions in relation to the sport of boxing, and I think anybody who bets their entire bankroll on a particular boxing match, probably shouldn't be gambling in the 1st place. BUT, what the hell do I care, it's your money, and I guess you're free to piss it away as you see fit.

"1) Vargas moutmatches Hoya in every relevant aspect. The only advantage Hoya has over Vargas is speed. Although speed outdoes power in boxing, it will not be enough to win here.
Hoya is also not as fast as he used to be.

2) A boxer that has fought them both very confidently predicts the upset.

3) Vargas is far more hungry for the win. He appears more confident too. Hoya seems a litte nervous or is just a horrible actor.

4) And I always cap boxing keeping a thought in the back of my mind - "What if the darn fight is fixed?" The Welterweight division needs some excitement - Vargas beating Hoya will bring it.

Hoya says he is going to knock Vargas out by like round 6. Thats ridiculous..I am sure he knows he can't and is actually trying to go the distance & win on points. "

Okay kids I don't know anything about the boxing match. But I do know you guys need to stay the hell out of casinos. If you think Roulette and Baccarat are the best bets in a casino you are the reason they have hotels that cost a billions of dollars. American Roulette is probably the worst game besides Keno and the big Wheel. And Baccarat still has a 1.06% disadvantage if you play the Bank. Which is about 3rd best you can do.

I think De la Hoya by decision or TKO. In order for Vargas to win, he will have to knock Oscar out. De la Hoy a has more than just hand speed on his side.:nono: He has:
1. More experience
2. More ring generalship
3. more overall smarts
4. Better Chin Look what Trinidad did to Vargas
5. Less Mexican blood in him (ha ha according to Vargas)
I like Oscar in this one as long as he keeps it cool and doesn't get into a slugfest (WAR).

vargas

vargas

heard some boxing guru, I think it mightve been emanuel steward, say that VARGAS HAS LIVED FOR THIS FIGHT HIS WHOLE LIFE, JUST LIKE EVANDER FOR TYSON

those odds, and public skew of Oscar being a god, I am taking vargas for small bet ...

Experts pick De La Hoya V. Vargas

Reported by:boxinginsider

by Steve Compton

This is a tough fight to call. De La Hoya has been fighting hand picked opponents since his close loss to Mosley while Vargas hasn't really been facing anybody too threatening either since Trinidad nearly took his head off.

My instinct says that if the weak competition, the long layoff and the surgery haven't drastically effected DLH then he should win. That being said those are a lot of knocks to have against a guy who never really seemed anxious to fight this fight in the first place.

On the other hand one has to believe that the only reason DLH took this fight is because he KNOWS he has no chance of losing to Vargas who has looked less than impressive against a smaller comebacking Wilfredo Rivera and a club level fighter like Shibata Flores.

My guess is that DLH knows something about Vargas that the public doesnt. He didnt have to take this fight and lets be honest, hes never taken a fight that he didnt have to or feel that he had a chance of winning (Whittaker was looking excedingly vulnerable when DLH fought him and DLH wouldnt even mention Quarteys name until Quartey struggled with surfing pothead Jose Luis Lopez, not to mention he didnt give them a rematch).

My guess is tha DLH outboxes Vargas in a fight that isnt as exciting as most people expect. It will be similar to DLH-Quartey in that there will be long stretches of boredom punctuated by brief moments of exciting action. After DLH wins Vargas will complain an ask for a rematch he wont get (unless he is beaten easily a la Chavez).

Experts pick Oscar V. Vargas
On Sept. 14, at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas and HBO PPV, Oscar de la Hoya gets back into the ring against arch enemy Fernando Vargas? Who'll win? The odds at this writing have de la Hoya a ?2.30 and Vargas +1.90? Here's how our team of experts see the fight. As you can see Oscar should be a prohibitive favorite, but he's not.

These boxing matches start too late.

Too much chalk for De La Hoya. The man hasn't fought since June 2001...couldn't you find a better play than this?

Vargas is much better than a 2 or 3 to one dog here.
