San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona D-Backs (MLB) - May 29, 2008 9:40 PM EDT
Play: Money Line: 173 San Francisco Giants Play Title: SF

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on San Francisco ? Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 55-52 and has made 48.2 units since 1997. Play on NL road dogs with a money line of +150 or more and with a starting pitcher whose ERA is 5.20 to 5.70 on the season and starting a well rested pitcher who is working on 5 or 6 days rest. These are the true money making systems that exploit false favorites. As I have mentioned on so many occasions, systems like this one are analogous to playing Black Jack and being paid +182.1 (the average play for this system) for every winning hand. Although Zito has lost his premier form of a few seasons ago, he is starting to show much better consistency. Over his last 3 starts he has a 3.12 ERA and has allowed just 1 HR in 17.3 IP. In his last start at Florida he limited a good hitting team to just 4 hits and 1 ER over 6.3 IP. Randy Johnson is pitching well, but he does have a losing career record against SF and has three straight no decisions. Further, Johnson is 32-29 (-37.4 Units) against the money line versus teams outscored by opposition by 1 or more runs/game on the season since 1997. Take SF.

Chicago White Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays (MLB) - May 29, 2008 7:10 PM EDT
Play: Money Line: -122 Tampa Bay Rays

Chicago White Sox at TB (MLB Baseball Action) 7:10pm ET Neither the Chicago White Sox nor the Tampa Bay Rays were expected to be leading their respective divisions almost two months into the season. With those expectations exceeded, two of the AL's early surprises open a four-game series Thursday night in St. Petersburg. Tampa Bay's 21-9 home mark is second-best in the AL. Longoria is batting .389 (7-for-18) with two homers and eight RBIs in his last five games, while Iwamura went 6-for-13 in the Texas series. Upton, meanwhile, is 6-for-11 against Chicago pitching this season. I like Tampa's speed on the bases and playing at home, they are very tough.

San Antonio at LA Lakers (-8)

We are not sure if the Lakers are going to be able to close out the Spurs in this Game Five tonight in the City of Angels, but we feel sure that regardless of the side outcome, the total stands a damn good chance of once againt staying below the posted price!

Thus far, ALL 4 games played in this series have stayed UNDER the posted total, and 8 of the last 10 meetings in this rivalry have also held UNDER the posted price.

The Spurs are on a playoff UNDER run of 8 straight games dating back to Game Three of their series with New Orleans, and if any one of their "Big Three" - Duncan, Parker, or Ginobili - has a bad game, there simply aren't enough points out there for the remainder of the team to put this game in the OVER column.

The totals in this series have all held in the low-190's, and we get the feeling the only reason they have been holding there is because of the Lakers offensive prowess.

We will gladly take advantage of the public's stubborness to come down off this high total, and play another UNDER in Game Five tonight.

Play the LOW!

Atlanta at MILWAUKEE (pick)

The G-Man gave you a winner last night on Milwaukee, as the Brewers held on for a 1-0 win. Today I like the Brew Crew to complete the sweep of the road-anemic Braves at Miller Park.

Atlanta's loss last night drops them to a woeful 6-18 on the road this season, and I don't see a win on the horizon today.

Milwaukee is starting to heat up, as the Brewers have now won their last 3, and 6 of their last 9 games, while compiling a 13-9 mark at home.

Jorge Campillo left his last start with a blister on his pitching hand, and I am not so sure he will be able to work deep into this game.

Seth McClung will counter for the Brewers, and his first start out of the bullpen was a success, as he picked up a solid 5 inning, 2 run win over Washington.

Milwaukee is 6-2 at home versus Atlanta the last 2-plus season's, and the G-Man likes them to break out the broom this afternoon on Getaway Day.

1♦ MILWAUKEE

Chicago White Sox (+120) at TAMPA BAY

Who would have thought this would be such an attractive series, but these teams are playing some great baseball right now. In today's opener we're going with the White Sox who have been absolutely red-hot on the highway, winning seven of their last eight on the road.

Chicago's got John Danks (3-4, 3.00 ERA) on the hill in this one, going up against the Rays' Edwin Jackson (3-3, 3.47).

Chicago is coming off a 6-5 win over the Indians on Wednesday and they took two of three from the rival Indians in Cleveland. The White Sox are 11-3 in their last 14 overall, 6-1 as an underdog and for some reason this team loves Thursdays, going 4-0 in the last four.

Danks already has one gem in Tampa Bay this season when he threw seven shutout innings, giving up just three hits and striking out eight as the White Sox got the 6-0 victory and he beat Jackson in that one. In eight of Danks' 10 starts this season, he's allowed two earned runs or less and on the highway he is 1-1 with a 1.76 ERA.

Jackson gave up those six runs in just 4.1 innings and he's got an 8.71 ERA in his career against Chicago.

Let's play the White Sox in this one as they are starting to find the formula that won them the World Series a couple seasons ago - strong pitching and timely hitting. Play the plus-money with Danks and Chicago tonight in Tampa Bay.

3♦ CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Chris Jordan

Chicago White Sox at TAMPA BAY (-125)

Unbelievable, as I find myself in un-chartered waters today ? taking a team with Edwin Jackson on the hill, and listing him as well. But such is the case in this pitching rematch with John Danks, from April 20, when Chicago won 6-0 in Tampa. Revenge will be sweet for a Devil Rays team that has gone 24-10 since its series with the Sox last month, and that still holds a slim lead over the Red Sox.

Chicago is 5-12 in Danks? last 17 starts, while it is 5-15 as a road pup in this price range, 0-4 in its last four against the A.L. East and 1-5 in Danks? last six starts against the A.L. East. On the flipside, Tampa is 8-0 in its last eight at home against winning teams, 21-7 in its last 28 at home, 5-2 in Jackson?s last seven starts at home and 4-1 in its last five against a southpaw.

600♦ CUBS (LIST Marquis and Francis)

This could be about as ugly as a blowout could be. I would normally be inclined to lay the chalk in this one, but I honestly believe the run line can get us some extra juice on your bookmaker. The Cubs have been terrorizing teams at Wrigley Field with their offense, yet they come into this one after a three-game home sweep in which the pitching staff allowed a mere three runs. Tied with the Braves for the most home wins this season, Chicago is getting it done offensively by bringing 6.3 runs per game. And with Colorado winless in its last eight and 14 of 16 on the road, I don?t see how the Cubs don?t blow this team out tonight.

Honestly, it looks too good to be true, and though that?s never a good thing, in baseball you have to pick your spots, and that?s a fact with this clash tonight. Normally the team ace, Jeff Francis is 1-5 with a 6.18 ERA on the season and comes into this one after allowing six runs ? five in the first inning ? in a 9-2 loss to the Mets. And he hasn?t had any luck on the North Side, posting a brutal 9.37 ERA in three starts. Conversely, we?re siding with Jason Marquis, who is in a perfect position to make things right for himself. Though he?s won just one of his last six starts, he is 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA in his last four starts against Colorado.

100♦ SPURS

I honestly don?t believe the Lakers plan on heading back to San Antonio, and likely have their flight plans set for either Motown or Beantown. But I also don?t think Los Angeles is going to blow this team out like everyone thinks. I?ve been saying this the entire postseason ? including Game 7 in New Orleans ? the Spurs are the defending World Champs, and they?re not going to go quiet into that gentle night. The only way San Antonio has a chance is to do everything possible to shut down Kobe Bryant. Problem is, by doing that, you give Pau Gasol or Lamar Odom the chance to have a big game. Good thing is, if the strategy works, you keep it under double digits, and make a surge at the end of the game. I will bank on the latter taking place, and the Spurs covering this one, while bowing out in the end.
