Call me crazy....I deserve it as I going outside my norm tonight. I have capped one game over and over and over again and just can't find a reason to keep me away from it BIG! The only negative is that it JUST LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE in my opinion! But I am firing on it anyway by doubling my largest plays.

Kent State -2 (bought 1 pt @ -130) 10 units
Kent State ML (@ -155) To Win 5 units
Wake Forest +1 5 units
Butler pk 4 units
Creighton -13 3 units
N. Texas +9 2 units

Kent State @ Akron

True Akron's guards are very good, but they don't have much IMO surrounding them. Tarver will get his points, but this Kent State team is on another level right now. They are 11-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play. They are 3-1 as away favorites while Akron is only 3-7 ATS overall. Akron is 7-7 with a 2-3 conference record. They lost both games vs. Kent State last year and are coming off a BIG LOSS MONDAY night on the road. Kent State has won 37 of its last 41 games and 21 of the last 23 regular season MAC games. This team is gaining a lot of confidence as they have made it to a Top 10 ranking and with a win tonight can even the overall record vs. Akron. Antonio Gates is unstoppable (I'm knocking on wood as I speak) and is fun to watch on both sides of the ball. Eric Haut is shooting ace hitting over 50% from 3pt range and 50% from the floor. I have trouble seeing Akron staying within double digits in this one. My biggest play of the year so far! (Thats what scares me)!

Wake @ Virginia

There are a lot of people on Virginia. A lot of people who I have a great deal of respect for in this forum are going with Virginia as well, BUT I see it the other way. Virginia just played Tuesday night @ Virg. Tech and were blown out. Now they come into tonight on two days rest and get the hottest team in the conference. Wake leads the Nation in rebounding margin and ranks in the top ten in free throw percentage. True, they haven't had a lot of road games but I feel with Virginia on a 3 game losing streak and coming off a drilling only two nights ago that will even out the home field advantage. Wake will control the boards, keep the turnovers to a minimum and let Josh Howard dominate in all aspects of the game to get a hard fought 5-10 point victory.

Creighton @ Evansville

Now this is another very strange line. Is a home court advantage really worth 7 points. Thats the difference in the spread from these two teams in one week. They met in Omaha a week ago and Creighton was favored by 21 points then, oh and did I mention they covered with a 37 point win. Creighton is 16-1, 4-1 on the road and a perfect 7-0 in conference play. Evansville is a miserable 5-9, 4-3 at home and 1-4 in Conference.....records don't really matter when all you have to do is cover a 13 point spread on your home court though.....How can they do that? I can't answer this one as I just don't think its possible UNLESS half of Creighton's team misses the trip! Evansville is HORRIBLE on defense and average close to 20 turnovers a game (actually I think it is 17 to be exact). What do you get when you put a team that is shooting 52% from the floor and over 41% from 3 pt land, not to mention a team that is averaging 20 pts more then their opponets this year in a gym with a team that plays defense like my 3 year old nephews team......Let me tell you another 30+ drumbing!!!!

Butler IMO is the better team and a team strong enough when in comparison to Wisc Mil to win on their home floor!

North Texas, these teams are not that much different. I could see North Texas getting a SU win here although not likely. 9 points is too much though IMO.

TOP 10 CREIGHTON

TOP 10 CREIGHTON

I agree with the Blue Jays pick. Driving through Omaha this week I caught Altman's show on sportstalk radio and he was not happy at all with the defensive effort on Monday. Letting Illinois State score 82 points on them was unacceptable. He said his guys let up some in the second half. I don't think they will kick back and open the backdoor in the second half tonite...
