The secret is just to be able to predict which side the public will pile onto since $$$$ moves the line. The harder part is determining when to buy back the other side and getting the best number. Some people can do it very well, others can't

that's what I'm talking about, do you think internet forums are helpful for doing this, or is it more that particular fighters betting history?

5dimes just changed their set-up...you should still be able to log into the old system, that option is just below the regular login. Or you can adjust your old username to match the new system. Maybe the problem is more complicated, just trying to help...

The weekly lines aren't out yet, but here's what 5dimes has up right now...

Heavyweight 12 rounds - Staples Center, Los Angeles, California - Showtime
Sat 9/2 101 James Toney +120 Over 11? -200
10:00PM (EST) 102 Samuel Peter -140 Under 11? +170
Light Heavyweight 12 rounds - Reebok Center, Bolton, Lancashire, England
Sat 9/2 201 Clinton Woods +100 Over 11? -290
1:00PM (EST) 202 Glen Johnson -120 Under 11? +245
Light Welterweight 12 rounds - Reebok Center, Bolton, Lancashire, England
Sat 9/2 301 Souleymane M'Baye -580 Over 11? -235
2:00PM (EST) 302 Raul Horacio Balbi +430 Under 11? +195

Pinnacle...

12:00 PM 631 Souleymane M'baye -540 Risk To Win
632 Raul Horacio Balbi +490 Risk To Win
12:00 PM 633 Over 11.5 rounds -226 Risk To Win
634 Under 11.5 rounds +206 Risk To Win

12:00 PM 661 Clinton Woods +100 Risk To Win
662 Glen Johnson -110 Risk To Win
12:00 PM 663 Over 11.5 rounds -269 Risk To Win
664 Under 11.5 rounds +249 Risk To Win

08:00 PM 601 Samuel Peter -142 Risk To Win
602 James Toney +132 Risk To Win
07:00 PM 603 Over 11.5 rounds -186 Risk To Win
604 Under 11.5 rounds +176 Risk To Win

OK the play is made and the money is down.

This is what I am thinking about in this fight.

Toney will not and I repeat will not be KOd by Peters. The thing about Toney is not only does Toney not care about getting hit behind the ear, he don't much care about a strong body attack, either.

If Peter can get to Toney's body that is.

Toney protects himself from the really hard shots very very well.

The other side of the coin, is there is no way in holy christmas that James Lightsout Toney is going to KO this Peters guy. Better to do some wrasslin.
Come on Toney is 40 years old. Look at the war's Toney has fought. Remind me of Joe Frazier except Toney is beyond KOing anyone these days.

they are going to dance into the 11th round and the play wins.

It seems simple enough.

This is in the bag.

Roach said that Toney has sparred more against bigger guys than he did prior to the Rahman fight. The list of fighters includes Josue Blocus and Cisse Salif.

For the first time in five fights, Roach explained that Toney is running on the road and streets.

"We have cut the cigars out," Roach said. "I do not know about 100 percent, but he tells me he has cut them out. He never smokes in front of me, anyway. You know, you smoke five, six cigars a day. I do believe it is an issue and we have talked about it. He is making some changes."

Toney said that he did not appreciate being disrespected by the Duva family and Peter at the kickoff press conference.

"I got stuff for their ass," Toney said. "This is something serious. If Peter is going to make this a fight, he better bring a whole lot of Africans with him.

Toney said that he is ready.

"I am going to be in the best shape I have been in since I fought Evander Holyfield," Toney said. "I knocked him out, and I am going to do the same thing to this bum too. Peter is over-hyped."

...................................................

A pissed off Toney is good.

His pride and emotions will carry him into the 12th

When the emotion is recognized, a winning wager usually follows.

Toney weighed in at 233...same as he was against Ruiz

Peters weighed 257...14 higher than he was vs Klitschko and Sykes

I might play Toney +130 small...still haven't decided

" As it turned out James Toney did keep his focus on the fight and trained properly leading up to fight and made the 190 lbs weight limit easily. Once the bell for the fight rang it was apparent that Toney was indeed well prepared for the fight as he went to war toe to toe with the aggressive Jirov over 12 exciting rounds. Toney displayed much of his old skill in the fight as he masterfully slipped Jirov's punches and landed short hard counter-punches of his own. However, Jirov displayed and iron chin and unrelenting will to press forward to try to wear down Toney. But in the end it would be Toney who would wear down the younger, bigger champion, as he knocked down Jirov in the 12th round to seal a clear cut decision victory."

I liked this part.........

If it came once, it will come again.

Perhaps ABC replayed Frazier-Foreman I so many times that Howard Cosell's call of "Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier" is what most remember when recalling the career of Smokin' Joe.
.....................................................

That fight and the call by Cosell got me hooked on boxing heavyweights.

info for scott

info for scott

just spoke to sam a couple hours ago, sounded more relaxed than usual. he really feels that toney should not be consider an heavyweight and therefore pose no significant threat to his quest. his fury will be unmistakeble at the so called slights he recieved.imo.again sam is very relaxed and resting on hope....street....one month ago he weighed in at 262 so it can be said that 257 represents a downward trend... good luck.....but knowing sam he will be trying to dispose of him earlier than the later rounds.

OK added the draw play for +1600

I really think that after this fight goes the distance it may end in a draw. It should be close quarter fighting all the way and difficult to judge.

Draw seems like a distinct possiblity.

And if there is a draw , then both wagers win.

It seems simple enough.

When this fight is over I will meet you on Glory Rd, it runs off of Victory Lane , and that is where I live.

It is free on Showtime. Scott lives in a trailer park where they don't get Showtime. My play is Toney inside +720 @ Pinny. Toney is lighter, smarter and sharp as they come. Peter is kind of heavy for 6'1" tall. Maybe he will get gassed on go to sleep.
