it's not one game - it's body of work. They have been picked to finish high multiple years and have had the talent to do so but their coach is the issue. I am not a Les fan but I'd take him any day of the week over Richt. Richt needs to move on and this is like the 5th year in a row saying it.
On another note, how is it going to be watching Mettenberger playing for LSU? I can't think of a better way to rub salt in the wound for all of my Georgia buddies.
Oh sorry - missed this point. How was Miles vs Richt head to head last year. I can't remember.
Lets keep in mind that you were the one that brought this coach thing up.
Since you brought the above points up lets take a look at them.
UGA has been preseason top ten picks 3 seasons in his tenure. Preseason rank is first and end of year poll last "02" 8-3 "04" 3-7 "08" 1-13 Hardly as you characterize.
Career record: Miles 103-39 Richt 106-38
Bowl record Milles 5-2 Richt 7-4
BCS Bowl record: Miles 2-1 Richt 3-0
Head-to-head 2-2
Miles has a championship and that puts him ahead on paper period and I have no problem stating that. Having said that UGA beats that same Ohio St team if they get in over LSU that year. But they didnt and les is a little ahead. I have had my issues with richt, and do not care for some of the things he did/does, but to make out like he is some guy off the scrap heap is funny. What is even more funny if trying to so with facts and numbers that actually run opposite to your argument:facepalm:
Funny how quickly some forget "time management" les!
As to mett, I wish him well. For that matter I wish LSU well. He stuck his hand up a girls skirt essentiually sexually assalting her, lied about it and had to go:shrug: From what I have seen he seems contrite, so good luck to him.
