thanks guys...70 hmmmm was hoping for around 55-65 but the "gods" know better...will still watch this game...and looking forward to your input...NT has trouble with good qb's...after watching them get destroyed in the New Orleans bowl vs Troy. The Troy OL just dominated the NT DL...and Silvers the Troy qb was a pocket passer...had 5-6 seconds of protection..Smoo qb Hicks can run out of the pocket..dual threat...they also have a stud rb back...losing wr's will be tough but Sonny's offense is nicknamed " Air Raid"...on defense SMoo is one of the worst tackling teams...defense is bad..they need to outscore teams with there air raid scheme.. NT has 5'9 Fine who they list at 5'11 at qb...in high school broke every HS passing record in Oklahoma...but the big schools thought he was to small and is a pocket passer...but this kid surprised everyone and is now listed as a Davey O'Brien candidate top 25....he has all 3 of his wr;s back...OL is solid..but lost top rb Wilson who was a game breaker...on defense in last 7 games they gave up 69,38,49 and 41 { troy game} and Troy subbed in the last quarter..Smoo in last 3 games gave up 31,66 and 38 on defense...
they did beat North Texas 54-32 early on in game 2..leaning towards over 70...and North Texas hates,hates hates SMOO..they have dissed them for years...goes so far back even when I was there...NT thinks its a rivalry but it takes 2 teams to have a rivalry...so if North Texas can run it up they will...we have always been 2nd cousins to Smoo... Dallas-Denton,etc
but NT has a good coach who won his conference and if he wins again this year he's gone...
