I don't understand this trade at all unless you're Orlando. I haven't gotten the chance to see Lamb play but the Bucks seem to be giving up on him very early. Giving up a rookie for a guy that probably won't re-sign with you. I doubt they'll be able to keep Jennings this summer so what the hell will they have.

Bad franchise!

As a Bucks fan...I' m disappointed...

They keep Monta Ellis (kills the team with size and poor shooting) and trade for JJ Redick (a clone basically of Mike Dunleavy...better defender though) and give up all the young talent.

Granted, Udrih made too much money for a backup PG, but they won't keep Redick. He wants too big a deal and don't think it's worth it.

I just don't see how this makes us more competitive this year. We have too many of the same players. Being a small market, they need to focus on winning playoff series and doing what they can now but keeping future in mind. We're no better now I don't think, and I don't think we're better for the future either.

Maybe I'll have different thoughts down the road, but for now I'm not happy with it.

I actually like jenning ellis and reddick on the floor along with what else they have.....

Reddick and ellis can shoot from all over and jennings can create from anywhere.

As long as their bigs can work the glass I think they have a chance to succeed without a doubt.

But I also didn't know there was a difference between "types" of flagrants, so take everything I said and basically throw it out the window...

Should be a fun team to play with on nba13 with all the shooters

IMO Redick isn't a clone of Dunleavy. Dunleavy can't shoot the ball as well as most people think. Redick is one of the best shooters in the nba. He can do it off the dribble or catch and shoot. He also can do it going right or left. The only guy I think shoots it as good or better both off the dribble, catch and shoot and either right or left is Ray Allen.

Agreed...he isn't as good as JJ but solid nonetheless.

I thought Ellis/Jennings backcourt would be fun when they traded for Ellis last year. Turned out to be two undersized guards who are volume shooters who are terribly inconsistent. They have their moments, but too often they're both cold and make poor decisions.

I would rather have Smith over Ellis all day long but I heard Bucks didn't want to deal Ellis. I think Bucks would've been a better team with Smith than Ellis, but we'll never know.

Hopefully they get me to eat my words!

Yeah, I can't see how any team would want Ellis unless they have a big point guard that can guard 2s effectively. Kind of like what Jason Kidd did for Jason Terry with the Mavs.

But like you said Ellis is a volume shooter and it's hard to have two of those guys on the court at the same time. I haven't seen enough of Jennings to make any statements on him but from what I have seen he's not your pass first pg.

I'm suprised they didn't move Jennings or Ellis.

I agree with you guys - I don't think this is very good for the Bucks. They are just adding more shooters, when they really need some more post presence.

Monta Ellis has been a huge bust this season. Him and Jennings together just does not work well. The Bucks may have had a hard time trying to get rid of him.

Same with Josh Smith - who would want that guy right now?? Like layinwood says - he is like Stoudemire...way overrated.

I think the Bucks were trying to make a BOLD move for this season by getting J.J. Reddick AND Josh Smith. The deal for Smith didn't come together, so they end up with just another shooter. However, what people are forgetting is Reddick is a shooting guard who can actually make 3 pt. shots. Monta Ellis is shooting 22% from beyond the arc. Hardly acceptable for a starting NBA shooting guard. So, not a bad thing for the Bucks, but I think most Bucks fans are disappointed because it doesn't make the impact for THIS season. One thing for sure, Bucks will be jacking up the 3's with Reddick, Jennings, Dunleavy, and Illaysova. Monta Ellis will probably start and pick up the back up point guard minutes with Udrih gone.

After I've had some time to think about it, they are better than they were yesterday. Lamb and Harris didn't really play so we didn't lose much this year taking that into consideration.

We desperately needed a shooter who can make shots and not just shoot (Monta and Jennings)

I'm just not sure what the long term plan is with Redick. I feel like he's not the guy I'd build around and throw money at. I see him as more of a role player. But if they see Larry Sanders progressing and Jennings being the future, then they may have a somewhat competitive core of players.

Ellis has an option to stay next year if no one wants him, and for $11 million, I can see him staying. I just don't want to see him next year and don't think he's in the long term plan.

It would really be nice to see them keep some of their draft picks, or hit on a draft pick for that matter...but that's a different story. Yes they have Jennings and Sanders, but they've given up on more players or totally whiffed than have had success.

Go Bucks!

K-Mart signs with the Knicks to complete their roster of Nuggets rejects and dysfunction...

Derek Fisher signs with the Thunder. Now, that is scary... his contribution to that team could be huge, and it is hard to have a huge contribution to one of the best teams in the league.
