Warm weather? At that time of year? That means Mexico or The Keys. Unless you want to travel to Europe.

Good news! A hurricane is about to trash the Keys and that means very very low rates at resorts. If you don't go on a cruise, then The Keys will be a good option.

That option we've looked into from NY.....Not sure I want to be on a boat for 7 nights or not......:toast:

Understood. Here's the thing - if you go on a Carribean Cruise, you are fishing, snorkeling, (crash course) scuba diving, swimming, waterslides etc.... you will spend the night in a couple ports.

If you go on a cheap three day cruise, you will then think that cruises suck. I can't speak for a boat in NY, but the Carribean is great!!! Try a Royal Carribean or Norwegian, but stay away from Carnival.

Above the Clouds....
WE've been doing all-inclusive for 15 years. Did Mex 3 times this year and are booked for Jamaica on Dec 5th.

Check the Lindo in Playa Paraiso (Mex). We went there twice this year. Great place with great food.

Stayed in Playacar about 10 times and going back to the Tucan in Feb.

Mex is quite a bit cheaper that Jamaica. If you do Jamaica the beaches are better in Negril than in Montego Bay. We've stayed at the Riu and Iberostars in MB.

We've been to about 30 different resorts so if you pick one I might be able to help you out.

We've done the Beaches resorts with the kids every year. Very clean, they take good care of you.

Went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic last year. We stayed at the Majestic Elegance, but they have 3 resorts right next to each other. The Majestic Colonial is more geared to families, but you can use all three resorts amenities. Me & the wife went to celebrate our 25th and we loved it, would go back in a heartbeat. You can book different stuff like snorkeling right on the beach and they will transport you to and from hotel.

We flew nonstop from Boston via Jetblue, so that was great! :0008

I want to say about $3,000 for the 2 of us, but I'm not positive. Of course it can vary depending on the week you want. We booked it through BJ's travel, it was the cheapest we found. We went to a AAA office, looked at online sites and found BJ's to be cheapest. Also, when I was looking, we were looking at 7 days, Sat to Sat, but when I looked at going Sun to Sun it was about $400 cheaper, so we did that.
