I disagree, democracy, as practiced in the US, is a failed process. At it's best Democracy in the US is nothing more than "mob rules". You don't have to be right to get your way, you just have to be in the majority. We assume when you get enough people together that the majority will do the right thing, we've seen that just isn't the case.
I've made it clear I voted against Hillary, but the fact is we have a side show in the White House right now. The majority got it's way, but you can't convince me the majority was right.
Also, and more to the point, pick a politician you admire, one that actually works on behalf of the people, one who has demonstrated the ability to serve the public's best interest despite that of his own. Biden? Bill Clinton? Ronald Regan? Whomever your choice you need to realize that under a Democracy their vote counts equally to Hedghog's who's sole purpose is to smash the Republican button with zero understanding of the candidates or issues, he only knows he wants to keep his guns so Republican it is. His vote counts as much as those educated on what is actually best for our country. Think about that.

For those who think they know up from down and use the word "democracy" to define our present system of government, would you say they are right or wrong or just terribly confused?
On another note, it stills surprises me that no one wants to address the ddoouubbllee standard that "seems to"exists in our form of government.
That is, unless I'm wrong and terribly confused (lol).
