Bmad: That's a great tip, but unfortunately 50/1 and 33/1 is all that is available to me, so I'll miss out. GL
---------- ---------- ----------

On the subject of Aaron Baddeley this week: I?m not worthy.

I give Duval props for many months of what in many ways has been the most amazing putting of his career. But while Garcia, Duval and Beem (and we mustn?t forget Olazabal) have by any fair standard been thrashing about in the wilderness since before the season began, young Mr. Baddeley has emerged from the pack as nothing less than the leading contender for rookie of the year. Yes, even when he is on his game he struggles to find fairways, or even come close to them on some claustrophobia inducing tee shots I?ve watched. Yes, there will be growing pains every step of the way. But staring down Ernie Els and taking it to Greg Norman have given a fair measure of more than the fundamentals of his game, and no one is likely to give the much adored Sergio high marks in the department of solid fundamentals any time soon.

Short odds of 25/1 and being focused on LaCosta are no excuse (given the amount of time I?ve been spending on this avocation) for my not knowing what I was seeing: a week that was a tailor made opportunity for closing down the West Coast swing. Doofus. I came to the computer this morning hoping I could find something close to +800, and am very surprised the number has been set as low as it is, and I won?t go there. Nevertheless, make some noise, mate.

Friday 3 Balls:

PARLAY Gamez(+150) over Flesch/Hnatiuk WITH Baddeley(-120) over Baird/Blake WITH Petrovic(+120) over Franco/Perry for 0.50* @ 9.08/1 @ Bet365
I?m not worthy.

Mid-point update:

Campbell/Baddeley Trails by 4
Herron/Baddeley Trails by 2
Triplett/Baddeley All Square
Durant/Dawson WON by 3

Herron 20th
Frazar mc
Campbell 37th

Not too promising at the cut even though the only matchup to be decided is a win. But the matchup selections are within striking distance of Baddeley and two of the outright selections are within striking distance of a place finish, so there is always hope. Johansson did not tee off so the Johansson/Levet play is void.

At the cut
72 holes
Tripp/Badds all square

Outrights Spike cut:( --I thought this tourney would really suit him.
Tway tied for 15th,however one shot out of 5th sounds better:)

I think Herron will steadily climb Stan and he made good advance yesterday,I was asleep at the switch and missed the boat not climbing on after 1st rd. drat!!!

 Good one Clive
I think it only fitting to take opp to put one last stake in B&W before I exit and with prior karma there who knows.

adding outright at B&W for 1 unit to win only
(no choice for E/W)
Herron 40/1 :D

Final update:

Matchups: 3-1-0; +1.82 units

Campbell/Baddeley WON by 6
Herron/Baddeley LOST by 2
Triplett/Baddeley WON by 1

Outrights: 1-2; +1.63 units

Herron 26th
Campbell 2nd

Profitable event, but a painful one to watch ... Campbell should have won. After finally catching Lickliter, he was on the 16th in one less shot and inside his opponent. Lickliter holed from 31 feet and Campbell 3-putted from 28. One shot behind on the last tee, Lickliter drove through the fairway into the water ... and Campbell followed him  Does he have a 3-wood in his bag? Sometimes you just wish you had read the results in the morning paper!

PGA Tour ytd
Matchups: 32-10; +13.36 units
Outrights: 6-17; +8.95 units

All Tours ytd
Matchups: 72-44; +19.26 units
Outrights: 17-51; +21.73 units

finals
Matches 1-0
Tripp/Badds win

outrights Spike cut-Herron26th-Tway tied for 4th
Tway returned 8/1 @ 5dimes (5places) and 2nd wager of
10/1 @ Sia at cut was reduced to 5/1(via two way tie) I assume, as it returned $120/$20 wager

matches week 1-0 ytd 42-36 units week +1 ytd +3.17
Outrights week +10 units ytd +11 units

Got good bounce in this one as Tway finished before rain and delay.Didn't get to see Campbell bad beat Stan, as only thing on tube here was commercials and a few shots throw in of match play.
Nice call regardless.

Note: Match play hedge thread was not included in stats as noted in thread previously.

:) That wasn't necessary but thanks. It was little experiment as noted but proved out not to be worth effort as conting hedge would have produced VERY small profit.

I did not have money on Campell unfortunately but was pulling for him as I wagered field @ +137 against Lickliter @ 5dimes last day.
