Welcome to the 2005-2006 NBA season...
Defending champion..San Antonio Spurs :toast:
4 games slated for Tuesday night..
:director: We are looking at the Dallas-Phoenix game.
Both teams were 6-2 in pre season.
Both teams had outstanding seasons in 2004-2005.
Phoenix...62-20
Dallas...58-24...On the road 29-12
First i would like to talk about the Suns...
This team comes into the season missing 3 solid players from last season.
Joe Johnson...17.1 ppg
Quentin Richardson...14.9 ppg
Amare Stoudemire...26.2 ppg
Johnson to the Hawks
Richardson to the Knicks
While Stoudemire had knee surgery and will be out up to 4 months.
Where are they going to get there scoring from?
Kurt Thomas.. :142smilie
Brian Grant.. :jerkit:
Don`t expect the same run and gun Suns that we saw last season...no way.
Now,about the Mavericks..
They are for the most part the same team...
Minus Michael Finley, but that should not be a problem since he was getting up in age..Marquis Daniels will take his spot..in 17 starts last season Daniels averaged 13.4 ppg and 6.2 rpg..so i don`t really see this as a loss.Daniels averaged 12.1 ppg in pre season.
Nowitzki..26.1 ppg..Stackhouse..14.9 ppg..Howard..12.6 ppg..Terry..12.4 ppg..Dampier..9.6 ppg..All return for another season.
I see this team having another fine season under Avery Johnson.
I really like the Mavs in the opener Tuesday night.
Let`s face it ,this is a revamped Suns team..they lost so much fire power..some experts say they will be just fine..well i don`t see it happening..just my opinion. When you lose 3 offensive players and add 2 guys that can`t score in Thomas and Grant i see them struggling.
So let`s go with the squad that was 29-12 on the road last season and the team that should have a good feel for each other returning the same guys from last season..opposed to the team that has lost 3 solid players and will need to get a feel for the court.Yes..Marion and Nash can get it done..but i see them being out classed in the opener.
I made a wager when the line was Dallas +1.5
The line is now PK...I still like Dallas...actually i love them...
Adding to the wager at Pk
Nice size play!
