Yup Fletch roid rage at it's best. Even better when mixed with alcohol. At A&M I saw Antonio Armstrong (plays in Winnipeg) almost kill a kid that weighed about 110 pounds, saw half the football team go psycho and destroy a bar throwing barstools while the bouncers just stood their, and my favorite of all is Keith Mitchell who plays linebacker for the saints, got into a fight in the backseat of a car (I don't know) and bit some guys ear off.

Current hot strategy in the NFL is to commit blatant penalties on D near your own goal line. You get flagged, BFD, you lose a yard or two. But every so often the refs call it the other way and you gain hugely. Trying to induce a false start has been the favorite, but I'm thinking the personal foul thing could work much better, as they always seem to catch the retaliator instead of the original offender. Robinson's behavior was insane outside this context. Although now that I think of it, he was the guy busted last week with an assault rifle in his car.

On a related point, I think Jets' coach Edwards made the right move when he went for it on 4th and an inch. You make it, you win. You punt and go into the prevent, all kinds of bad things usually happen. Think Edwards has been a poor HC in general, though.

After just watching the replay again and then reading this thread I had to reply even though I know I'll probably be lambated here for my opinion. I agree that what Turley did was a bit over board by flinging the helmet but what he did by diving in to protect his team mate was to be admired. After playing 25 years of contact sports if a guy wouldn't have jumped in to protect me while some a-hole was pulling that cheap shot on me, I wouldn't want him on my team. Ask Aaron Brooks what he thought. I'm sorry some, including myself, lost money but I agree with Fletch here, NO just flat got beat. I really doubt Turley was too worried about the point spread when he jumped in to protect his QB.
