I've read in this post that that...
1. Tyson is a nut, physco, rapist...
2. Tyson has no legs...
3. Lewis has the reach...
4. Lewis will hold him off with jab...
Well, Mike is a time bomb. That is fact. Being a rapist (btw- I think he was the victim) has nothing to do with the fight. As for the reach, every single fighter has had a reach advantage vs Mike.

Yes, Lewis is the more polished boxer, but no one has mentioned his KO at the hands of Hasim. Lucky punch????? So what! It still put him on ass. Like some others, the only thing that worries me is Tyson getting frustrated and getting DQ'd.

We all know that boxing is not always on the up and up. If Mike wins....we will get to see Tyson/Holyfield III. (Big PPV $) If Lewis wins... where's the $ at then?

Tyson by KO in the 5th

Tyson weighed in at 234. Lewis at 249.

That's heavy for Tyson, who mostly has fought in the low 220's. I think a lot of people giving him a chance were looking for a quick Tyson moving his head a lot to get inside. I don't know if that kind of weight is intentional though. Maybe he wanted to bulk up to fight the much bigger Lewis.

I'm really up in the air about this fight. I suppose since I give Tyson a legitimate shot at a KO, I like him with the +170 or so. Right now I have nothing on it, and that probably won't change. There are just too many variables. At even money, I'd definitely take Lewis. At the odds they're giving, I suppose I like Tyson.

-------Second part--------

Anyway, why do people respond "WHO CARES?" and that kind of stuff in this thread? Why are people criticizing this fight because Tyson is a criminal? Get over your hypocritical selves.

God, if you only watch sports without convicted criminals, have fun watching synchronized swimming.

Do you know how many people could respond to every thread in the "Penalty Box" section with "WHO CARES?"

There are so many fighters out there who are convicted criminals but Tyson just seems to bring the critics out of the woodwork. Probably because he is unapologetic about it. That just means he's gotten to you. That's his schtick. That's how he sells fights.

This is the first fight since the mid 1970's between two guys who will go down in history as great heavyweights (no, Holyfield-Bowe was not of this magnitude). This COULD be a historic, great fight. Oh yes, it could be a complete washout. It could end on an early round DQ. I'm willing to spend the money to see if its a good one, though.

Probably because he is unapologetic about it

OR, perhaps it's the fact that he was convicted of a sexual assault and rape of a young innocent woman. OR, perhaps it's the fact that he actually BIT the top of somone elses ear off and spit it out on the ringmat. OR, perhaps it's the fact that he physically abused his wife Robin Givens when they at one time were married. OR, perhaps it's the fact that he totally dismembered Mitch Green's face in a street brawl b/c he was pissed that Green looked at him in a manner that he disproved of. OR, perhaps it's the fact that he's a multi multi multi millionaire yet can't find it in his heart to donate some of this money to much needed causes around the world. OR, maybe it's the fact that he's been banned in numerous areas to even box b/c of his erratic behavior in and outside of the ring. OR, perhaps it's the fact that he's a piss poor excuse for a living human being who has no regard for the people he walks all over in getting what he wants.

The fella is a bad apple, and I get sick and tired of hearing him blame his surroundings as the root of his his sickness. He has not one ounce of feeling personally responsible for getting himself in the trouble that he has found himself in over the many of years. IN Tyson's mind, everyone is to blame but himself, and until his mindset changes, he'll forever be remembered as a low-life punk that pissed away tons of talent b/c he thought the world owed him something...

I just read this thread. Not sure how anyone really thought Tyson had a shot in this fight. He hasn't ever beaten anyone. Anytime he has fought someone that wasn't afraid of him he has either lost been disqualified, or went the distance with( razor Ruddock). It was simple to figure this out. Holyfield manhandled the punk twice. Lewis manhandled Holyfield twice. Not rocket science. I wish had a chance to post yesterday.

I actually didn't look for a thread on the fight this week because I figured as sharp as everyone is in Jacks, they would jnow better than to think a little guy like tyson could have a shot against Lewis.
