Will West Continue To Allow Another Rwanda-Style Genocide In Darfur?

""'Accounts by the limited number of NGOs allowed into Sudan’s western province of Darfur have further exposed the human tragedy. In Darfur, government-sponsored Arab militias target not just rebels, but unarmed civilians as well. For several weeks, the United Nations and human rights groups have referred to the attacks as either “ethnic cleansing” or “genocide.” Whatever definition most accurately describes the violence, Darfur is considered the world’s worst humanitarian disaster. However, despite condemnation by the UN Security Council, the recent G8 Summit, the U.S. State Department, and the European Union, the violence continues unabated.""

bottom line....muslim rebels are slaughtering non-muslim africans....

now al jazeera`s take...
Sudan: Darfur issue being used against it

"""Sudanese President Umar al-Bashir has said the international community is using Darfur to target his government and Islam, according to Al-Anba newspaper.

On Saturday the Sudanese paper quoted al-Bashir as telling supporters in the central region of Gazira the campaign against Sudan was aimed at derailing the growth of Islam in the country. (lol...this is what we`re dealing with))

Al-Bashir, who took office in 1989, accused UN Secretary General Kofi Annan of "intensifying unnecessary and unjustified pressures" on Sudan.

He said the international community was ignoring reports about ceasefire violations by Darfur rebels(from what i read,it`s a massacre... civilians are being slaughtered starved and raped)... . The rebels were the ones who walked out on peace talks and should be held responsible for exploiting the situation to make political gains, the president said.

"Unfortunately the UN and US are falling victim to the rebels," he said.

International intervention

Egypt on Saturday called on the US and the UN to give Sudan more time to fulfil its engagements in Darfur before slapping on sanctions(translation...give our muslim brothers the time to finish the job)...

"Egypt hopes that an opportunity is given to the Sudanese government to fulfil the commitments it made to US Secretary of State Colin Powell and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan," said Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu al-Ghait.

Sudan says Darfur is a tribal
issue exploited by the rebels

Arguing the Darfur situation is complex, Abu al-Ghait said the Sudanese government, with the support of the African Union, was taking steps to address it.

"We cannot tell Sudanese officials ... 'you have signed with us today and tomorrow you should immediately achieve complete calm'," the Egyptian minister said.

He was referring to pledges made by the Sudanese government earlier this month to Kofi Annan and Colin Powell on issues such as facilitating access to humanitarian groups, disarming the factions blamed for atrocities, resolving the conflict with rebels in the region and prosecuting suspected war criminals.

Abu al-Ghait said Egypt had contacted Security Council members about the issue and warned them of the consequences of rushing through a resolution that might further complicate the situation.

European plans

European nations on the other hand joined the US in heaping pressure on Sudan to end the conflict in Darfur.

As France's foreign minister prepared to visit Darfur, Britain's top military commander General Mike Jackson said his country could muster 5000 troops to intervene in Darfur.

The UN coordinator for Africa, Muhammad Sahnun, is meeting representatives of rebel groups again, this time in Geneva, in an attempt to bring them to the negotiation table, a UN spokesperson said on Saturday.

Australian Defence Minister, Robert Hill, also announced his country was considering a UN request for troops for the region...."""""

this is a slaughter...plain and simple....if you read about this,it is an extermination...and muslim states in the u.n. are cock-blocking any aid or intervention....

the u.n. is hopeless...hopefully by the time they intervene, some of the non-muslims will still be alive...

g.l. president kerry...on bringing us closer together with these thugs and monsters....the u.n.`s hands are tied as usual....and this is supposed to be "THEIR JOB"...read their charter..

should be interesting to observe......

garden, you are 100% correct. If you study this, what Saddam did to the Kurdish people is child play in comparison, pure and simple. If allowed to continue uninterrupted this could easily rival Nazi Germany extermination of Jews. It is sickening, few know & realize the total depth this radical Muslim problem has become. Let all politics aside this problem has to be recognized if we live in a humanitarian society.

Speaking of Jews, have you seen the exodus from France to Israel regarding the Jews because of escalating anti Semitism in France. Let the French rot in Hell, they should be ashamed.

Does anybody not believe that "certain" large muslim factions are actually out to rid the world of "infidels". Most amazing is the apathy and/or fear of western nations to confront this head on.
Well, you guys draw your own conclusions.

shammy...europe( france most notably)have almost become islamic nations...that may be overstating it in the present tense....but it`s happening...has been happening for quite awhile now...

i believe the governments of these nations are slowly becoming intimidated...overwhelmed...you have a sedentary populace inundated with a radical, activist element in a relatively short period of time....

i believe in part, this may be why we can no longer count parts of western europe as true allies....

we have to wake up to that fact...here`s a short read...

Paul Weyrich, president of the Free Congress Foundation , says he is alarmed about the Islamic population explosion in western Europe. "England has a problem; Germany has a problem; the Netherlands have a problem -- it's pretty much universal," he says. "But France has the worst problem of all."

France has the highest concentration of Muslims of any western European country. According to Weyrich, the French military is so "infiltrated" with Muslims that it would be difficult to put down an Islamic takeover.

"In the case of France, they're getting so many [Muslims] there -- and of course, their birth rate is incredibly high, and the French birth rate isn't even at replacement stage," he says. "So one of these days, the Frenchmen are going to turn around and they're going to find out that the Islamacists control their country."

weyrich predicts continued growth of the Islamic population in other European nations as well, resulting sooner rather than later in a strong political push by that faction. "I think we're talking about ten or fifteen years [from now, but] future generations [of Muslims] are going to move," he says. "As soon as they think they have enough power, they're going to move."

He contends Muslims want revenge for being pushed off the continent centuries ago. "The fact is that from the Moslem point of view there is no such thing as defeat," Weyrich explains. "You just wait your turn and you move again -- and they are moving again."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

this guy`s a little scary....maybe a tad over the top as far as his conspiracy theory, but bottom line,he`s right about what`s going on....

planned or not, europe is in deep do-do....

this is an excellent example of why countries have to take control of their own borders...

It is time we took control of the UN. The world needs some sort of a governing body to police actions like these. It has become apparant for a long time now that the UN is corrupt and useless. It is time our leaders had the guts to stand up to the UN. Face it, no one else is going to do it nor do they have the power. We have the power because we control the purse strings. It is time we concentrated on straightening out the UN.

i honestly see radical islam as the logical precursor to armageddon......i don`t see an end to the battle between them and western civilization....

there can be little hope for a moderate arab leader to emerge and address these monsters....or at least one to emerge and live long enough to bring their people into the 21st century....

witness anwar sadat...his assassination was one of the darkest days in history...
