Quite mindboggeling for Open to have best rds to be turned in by likes of Troy Kelly,Gore,Imada,Hedblom,Fukibori ect.Sure not playing like Pinehurst of 99 maining because pressure of all the whining from pros has resulted in officials watering between rds-not double cutting greens or rolling them as in 99--however after seeing player after player spin these balls and hold greens from shots out of major rough I think they have to tighten things up a bit on weekends for sake of Pinehurst reputation. Also there is another important factor I'll go into after tomorrows wagers.

3rd rd props
Birdies or better
Singh +1/2 over Mick -110

GIRS> all under 23 1/5
Woods/Furyk -120
Singh/Goose +110
Garcia/Donald -115

Scoring props
Browne over 71.5 +100
Els over 71.5 + 100
Scott over 71.5 -105
Toms over Browne (-1/2) -135
Donald over Browne (-1/2) -105
less than 11.5 players under par 3rd rd -120

Almost forgot --most these lines move quickly after wagers and while- less than 11 players under par has moved a great deal- I still wagered more at another book this morning at higher odds and still consider it a bargain. In my thinking considering only 3 players broke 70 on Sat and Sunday "combined" here in 99 this # is way off--however 14 did so yesterday and only 3 did 2nd rd in 99--so some caution is called for--goes to show how much firmness and speed of greens dictate scores considering 2005 course is 100 yards longer and narrower fairways than 1999

Round 3 Plays

Round 3 Plays

Kenny Perry OV/Shigeki Maruyama-1.25
Fred Funk OV/Fred Couples-1.15
Kyoung-Ju Choi OV/Lee Westwood-1.20
Peter Lonard OV/Tim Clark-1.10
Stephen Ames OV/Geoff Ogilvy-1.20
Kenny Perry OV/Stewart Cink-1.20

Course looks to be Playing very Hard, just have to wait for your small amount of birdie chances. Have to stay in the fairway. This why I have chosen Perry and Funk. Let's Hope Donald can rebound, DiMarco is still licking his wounds.

Good luck on your Plays and I really appreciate your Posts, it helps me.

adding 3rd rd match
Goose -110 over Mick

Don't like Mick in 3rd rd-took several stances against him--Not to diminish his skills as would have been my co-fav (with Singh)to win at beginning but somehow I think his competativeness will make him take some undue risks to get back in it--with that being said hope he does well and would like to see him get back in the hunt.

DTB: It's not easy being Tiger, and it's not easy putting out a good line on every prop under the sun, and you have a knack for catching flaws in both. Watching 12 subpar rounds today is about as ridiculous as Tiger abusing tees and greens with gouges and skid marks while in contention.

Saturday:

Howell(-108) over Bjorn @ 5dimes
Mickelson(-115) over Els @ 5dimes
Love(-140) over Montgomerie @ 5dimes
O'Hern(-130) over Estes @ 5dimes

Jim Furyk(16/1)(1/5 for Top 4) e.w. @ Bet365
Charles Howell(100/1)(1/4 for Top 4) e.w. @ GolfingGods
Davis Love(150/1)(1/4 for Top 4) e.w. @ GolfingGods

Adding

Adam Scott OV/Sergio Garcia-1.05
Jim Furyk OV/Retief Goosen+1.00
Tiger Woods OV/Vijay Singh-1.35

Scores so far show the course is getting harder. As long as Tiger has the shirt on, he should be close to Par.

Don't know LIA with the likes of Leonard-Cook and Langer sitting @ even par through 9 looks like they LPGA'D the greens again which is unblievable on weekend of major.Poultered even stated he picked up roosters tail on putt when 1st starting early yesterday they were so soaked. However considered that earlier as remote possibilty--but weighed in factor they can't doss em between am/pm rds today unless they they hold up play--which is another remote possibility--but nothing surprises me anymore--so should get tougher as days goes on.

Yea....I notice that a lot of the +7's and +8's started out when the greens were drenched with water and managed to keep it right around par.......while guys like Donald and Furyk (just naming them because I have numerous bets on them) go out late and cant make a single putt. Well......they are back a few groups this time, so maybe they can make a couple.

Would be HUGE if Donald or Price can get into the Top 5 for me.

Any predictions on what score it will take to get there?

My prediction is +4 is in Top 5.....and possibly a split at +5 for Top 5. Am I way off?

Been at odds with myself all evening for putting up the prop they had no chance of winning.I'm the 1st to bitch and whine about ties lose Euro books and then when we get books that give us fair shake we hammer them and let those that offer little slide.
I have to qualify for the heigth of stupiidty award--should be protecting these books rather than throwing them to the wolves and then whining when their gone.
Was different when we were all small crew--but currently at 4 am
there are two registered users and 15 guests--I know where these quests are from and they are some pretty heavy hitters.
Will see if Jack can can activate privite message to get props to our regular crew--otherswise makes little sense to bite the hand that feed us.

The Lucky Country
4th round matchup

Hensby -101 vs Michael Campbell
at Pinnacle

Campbell has had some trouble in the past in the last round of a major (from memory he led in a British Open going into the last round and blew up). Hensby has shown he can handle the pressure with his Masters finish earlier in the year.

4th rd 72 hole cont @ Oly
Furyk +140 over Garcia (currently 1 down)
Furyk much more patient-think Garcia will be firing at em.

Interesting interactive @ WSEX
Toms $6 a share (15.66)
Better odds than most places and small swing should let one recoup some for free ride "if" you can sell as they are notorious for closing one out with their "not available"

WEST COAST
I don't know much about golf, but is (today) the fourth round the final round?

Thanks guys...I live here in the west coast with the wife and kids, so this is about as early as I can get up so I miss out on the opportunity of playing your plays that I like, but I think you all do a GREAT job....

Vanished into vortex
Tiger over VJ for the 4th round at -135 looks like a solid play to me, any thoughts?

Vijay was really struggling around the greens (like everyone) but this is usually a strong, strong part of his game. VJ really looked beat after 18 yesterday and Tiger on the other hand looked as if he thought he could still win this thing. I know the tougher holes are on the back nine but if Tiger gets through the first 3 or 4 holes in good shape I think he clobbers VJ today.

Bad line of thought here?

It is my opinion, and coule be entirely wrong, but I think Vijay was going through a case of the YIPS yesterday. If Vijay comes out with his standard putter tomorrow, Tiger should beat him, but if Vijay goes to his belly putter, my guess is that Vijay has a good round. Vijay and Tiger have hit the ball extremely well at times, and it ultimately will come down to who can make more 10-20 footers

Happy Father's Day :mj14:
"Hey, Dad, let's play."

I was playing golf yesterday, and even with the benefit of my VCR and remote control, I missed a lot of Saturday's action, but it certainly looked and felt like a top shelf kind of penultimate round . . . My only play today involves the best odds available to me on the angle I feel strongest about.

Tiger Woods 4th Round Score = 70 and Under(+300) @ GolfingGods
Tiger Woods 4th Round Score = 71-73(+110) @ GolfingGods
