all the mir backers here did make me hesitate, but i'm not seeing what most of you are seeing.

mir is looking lean and that will likely coincide with him have more endurance and he certainly can submit lesnar.

however, i don't think lesnar will be as easily taken off (or taken off at all for that matter) his game plan by mir's headgames.

i'm projecting here, but i think lesnar keeps it standing and beats the piss out mir, both on the outside and inside.

i don't know what the general opinion on mir's standup on here is, but beating zombie nog didn't impress me. nog's performance that night might have been the singular worst performance by a purported high level fighter.

i expect the fight will go to the ground after mir's brains have been softened up a bit.

Mir
GSP
Hendo
for me

Mir i got to take the shot. Looks like he has his head in the game and confidence is at a high. Won't be shocked if i lose but have to take him
GSP im not buying the Alves hype just yet. GSP is just to smart to get involved in a swinging contest and nobody can stop his takedowns. Like GSP says. Skill beats strength. I wouldn't be surprised if GSP throws Alves around a bit to show who is the boss.
Hendo got to do it. Not sure where Bisping has the advantage. Had a problem with the size advantage till i remembered that Hendo has fought bigger men then Bisping. Hope the age doesn't appear tonight. Bisping did a nice job with the college wrestler Rashad. This is an olympic wrestler. Can Bisping submit Hendo? Palahres couldn't do it so i doubt Bisping can. Only way Bisping wins is the Leben playbook and Hendo is no Leben.

Yep I slept on it, my bad.

Okay i hope u did it to beat these odds down a little more.;)

By he way Bonnar line is plummeting at Criss and Pinny. Down to 340 and 331 at Pinny. Something stinky here. No way am i gonna mess with it.

"the bunker"
gsp and alves hits the ground as fast as gsp can get it there...it get`s interesting if he can`t keep him there....shouldn`t be an issue as gsp hasn`t had a problem keeping everybody there...

i don`t see coleman beating bonnar...maybe he can lay and pray bonnar for 3 rounds, but i doubt it seriously, given that weight drop...on their feet this is an utter mismatch...

i expect lesnar to beat mir....but something makes me hitch up...i originally had lesnar in a parlay, but i hedged it witthn a mir/bonnar parlay paying a round 3-1...

after a few rough patches,i believe that miller will eventually wear down danzig much like guida and neer did...

jones should win but i haven`t seen enough of him on the ground to feel confident....o`brien will single-mindedly try and take jones down and keep him there...o`brien is coming down from heavy and i was surprised that jones didn`t have a real height advantage...i think it`s a dangerous fight for jones if he isn`t careful...

akiyama is better...a more complete fighter than belcher....but,as was pointed out previously, ufc debuts have been rude for some outsiders....belcher should use more kicks with those tree trunk legs of his....the fave deserves to be,but another dangerous fight where the doggie could bark...

i don`t see lawlor beating dollaway...i don`t think he`s the better wrestler and i think(old az st teammate) bader having already beaten lawlor gives dollaway some first hand knowledge on how to approach the fight...what will work and what won`t...dollaway just better at what they both do well...

t.j. grant...alot of guys like him here....i thought he was black(pretty much tells you anything i got on this fight is utterly useless)..lol

i had a gut on bisping...the +250 got my attention...i can see henderson walking through him...and i can actually see bisping giving dan some difficulty...dan had a fairly difficult fight with franklin...and i`m not sure i`d bet franklin against bisping...soooo,i think bisping has an outside shot if he weathers the early storm, can make bisping respect him some, and if he sticks to his gameplan(wish this was in london)....

alot of "if`s"..i know...

g.l. to the group...:mj09:

I'm going this route tonight:

ALVES +260
MIR +180
MIR +210
BELCHER +215 (odds too good to pass)
THIAGO +400 (How can you not stab at this?)
OBRIEN +300 (Again, the odds are just too good to pass)

I bet small ladies.

Can't wait for the PPV to start!!! Having a small party at the house with anyone that will come over.

I think we need a new thread for the actual fight commentary. TIA JMHO

Looking at all the props @ 5dimes, two really stand out to me.

Mir/Lesnar Over 1.5 rds -114 and

GSP within the distance -145

Talk me off the ledge on unloading on these two and parlaying them heavy....

Watching tonights action at a friends house with a few guys my age--45-- and my friends son whose is on leave from the Marine Corps and a bunch of his wrestling/football playing buddies from HS and college....
Odds on a fight breaking out at the party: -350 :mj07: :142smilie

i can see more than a couple upsets tonight...it`s a competitive card...
Could not agree with you more Bro.

This card is an Underdog delight!!

O'Brien- Might have good enough wrestling and stamina to blanket Jones.

Bisping- Is a cardio machine who could give Dan trouble the longer the fight go's.

Alves- I hate to say this but this kid is a wrecking machine and GSP better not make a mistake.

Mir- Looks in great shape and if he can grab a limb he can make this big arsehole cry Uncle.

I think that Fitch/Akayama/Bonnar/Millar/Kim/CB all win.

Good luck all!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

5 dimes pulled some lines(bonnar/coleman,jones/o`brien,and some of the undercard bouts)....

this is bad for me...i`m over-leveraged with bonnar parlays and i needed to off a little(hate to have one fight ruin the whole night)....

put those lines back up,5 dimes!...show doesn`t start for another 40 minutes...
