Finally just watched the main event.....kickserv you lucky lucky son of a gun.....Couture DID NOT WIN THAT FIGHT

UNBELIEVABLE DECISION...just AMAZING how INEPT these guys are

I am one bitter boy right now let me tell you
Couture rnd 1
Vera rnd 2
Vera rnd 3

VERY EASY to score.....2 to 1....no controversy....Randy admitted in the post fight ""he hurt me in 2 and 3"

I am so sick of this shit.....this was just as bad as the Hioki decision....it just doesn't make any sense.....

The ref was awful as well....allowed Randy to do that bullshit pressing against the cage crap for minutes at a time....Horrible to watch and just disgusting to lose a bet that way....Vera showed great takedown defense, scored the only takedown of the fight, and hurt Randy on two different occasions (once badly).....I swear, I must be nuts betting on this sport

Octagon control is such a bullshit scoring factor, it's completely subjective. Did Couture control that fight in the clinch going for takedowns, or did Vera control it by stuffing every takedown attempt? :sadwave: :sadwave:

Exactly. Thank You. You said it better in one sentence than I did in 3 paragraphs. Octagon control. Vera stuffed everyone one, and even got Randy down in the third.

1st round Couture. 2nd Vera. 3rd Vera. Plain as day. Come the fuck on !

from bloodyelbow:

"Vera stopped most of Couture's takedowns. He landed the only damaging blows of the fight. He knocked Couture down. He earned a takedown of his own and moved to the full mount.

Aside from an early clinch flurry in the third, Couture's main offense consisted of closing the distance, holding Vera against the cage, and searching for a way to take him down. As executing game plans go, you can't say he was successful in doing anything but slowing Vera down. You can say he dictated the tempo. You can say slowed the pace. You can't say he hurt or even rattled Vera."

WOW that 3rd was close...I dont think it's a big of a job as Shogun was given, that's for sure.

I'm a huge Vera fan too, my 3rd favorite fighter behind Wandy and Shogun.

Personally, why not give draws on rounds more often and go for a 4th sudden victory round?

It's pretty OBVIOUS, if you ask me...

Pride had the best judging system, extremely rarely was I surprised by an outcome when it went to the judges. Not to mention YELLOW CARDS were awsome..... Couture woulda gotten about 20 of em if we were under pride rules - and lost half his purse :mj07:

"the bunker"
btw.5 dimes floated a koscheck/johnson line and then pulled it...i believe it was koscheck -125 or somrething like that.....

weird that they`d post one lousy line with lil nog/cane and marcus davis/saunders and paulo thiago vs volkmann also on the card...then pull it...
5 dimes has gotten ridiculous..
