I just love how Baroni carries himself. I think it's more for show than it is cockiness.

Yes, the fight with Riggs was less than impressive.

Personally, I'm just waiting for him to get his pre-fight hype so I can see him talk shit, do some dancing, and maybe jump on the cage and say, "I'M THE FUCKING GREATEST."

At 13-11. Show is all Phil has got to hang his hat on.
I am a Baroni fan as far as wanting to see him on cards but reality his that he just plain sucks.
He always puts a smile on my face when he enters the cage.
And for a split second I always doubt my plays against him when someone in the room says "Phil looks ready."
Two minutes into the fight and my mind is back at ease.:mj07:

searching for obscure wagers,i wonder if camoes is worth a look-see fighting an aging uno at +190?....

camoes` losses...luis dutra twice(both dutra`s losses due to injury...one vs 170 pounder paulo thiago)...one vs luis azeredo(in his 1st fight!?) and one vs gleison tibau...

no scrub losses for camoes....worth a small shot...

i think we should all pray Baroni wins and does it pretty impressively. I mean Amirs two big wins are against CB Dollaway. He might be worse then Baroni. Then if Baroni wins we can load up against him his next fight. This one is just to dangerous for my liking. I liked Amir but he wins by submissions and i don't remember the last time Baroni got submitted. He loses most matches by gassing. I think out of all his losses, one he got submitted and the other 40 by gassing.

Paulo Thiago and Jacob Volkmann is now a main card fight.

i don't remember the last time Baroni got submitted.

That would be when Frank Shamrock put him to sleep.
Liierally. :bed:

I do agree that one thing Phil is good at is not getting submitted, but his takedown defense vs Riggs was garbage and Riggs just out pointed him. I think at least Amir does that if he can't finish.

Well Jesus. If you want to know when the last time Baroni was submitted before he gassed then you have to ask the ref to start the fight back in the locker room.

I did think Baroni showed a little better stamina in the Riggs fight though.

I like just about every dog on this card except one:
Baroni

Tito +130. OK I will take that.
Luis Cane +140. On it.
Kendall Grove +165. All over it.
Anthony Johnson -115. I think Josh is shot.
I think you are missing the best Dog of all, Saunders at +190. He has the length and Knees to cut Davis up.

Ortiz at +130. I think Ortiz WAS fucked up for their first fight and Fucks Forrest up when healthy.

George beating Dent is about as close to free money as you will get but not at -480.
I can't believe the odds opened at -280.

I was really looking forward to the Karo fight. I wanted to see if McLoving could sub him.

Good luck fella's :toast:

played saunders...he may not win,but the disparity in the odds really surprised me...a much closer fight than these odds...

i wish i knew whether ortiz` head was right...is he gonna stand again with griffin?...or fight smart?...is he really here to win,or just collect a few more paychecks before fading into the sunset?....is his cardio any better?(that i doubt)...

the odds in this one disappointed me...i was hoping for around +150...i guess the silva embarrasment screwed the pooch for us...

if george flubs the dub vs dent(as almost a 5-1 fave),then what exactly can you count on in this world besides death and taxes?...shouldn`t happen...

at this point, and based on the odds,i`m leaning koscheck(but, he`s another addle-pated macho man who thinks he can strike with anybody)..

played cane, but having second thoughts...i know nothing about his ground game and if lil nog gets it to the mat, everything i handicapped is a big ???

pretty much agree with everything wee:toast:...a little lukewarm on tito because of the layoff and the fact that he`s a perpetual bonehead...

I already put small bets on Koschek, Grove, Kane, and Saunders. These to me are all close fights. I think Kosh gets it done "IF" he fights smart. I think this is Rumbles biggest challenge to date against a guy with some balls and decent hands. I like Grove. Im not a fan at all with Jake and his last win against Leben i thought was more Leben fighting like shit and being overrated. Some say Leben didn't even train for the fight. Saunders and the juicy odds has me on this one. I think Davis has seen his best days. Kane another pretty even fight. Going with the guy with the better hands. Hope his cardio is a little better for this fight. The Kosh fight is the one i want to see the most. I have had enuf of Forrest to last a lifetime. Wouldn't be surprised about losing any of these fights.

Lil Nog -130 2 units

I really like Nog here, I think he has more ways to win it than Cane does.

I don't want to risk too much though, the 5 units I lose on Shogun is still hurting. The minute this fight is over I'm putting in a very large play on KenFlo. I'm really suprised the line with he and the ape man is so low. I don't see any chance of Florian losing to Guida, of course the UFC judges could want to bend me over one more time before the year is over.

I am on Saunders as well.
I am backing off of a play on Grove as too many have convinced me that Rosholt may pull a Guida and just get takedown after takedown and not let Grove up.
If that one stays standing then Grove should have no issues. Problem is I am not a huge fan of Grove's takedown defense and we all know Rosholt is going to try and get this to the ground EVERY chance he can.

Whats the difference between Swick and Davis ? Not a big one , Davis is WAY too fast for a tool like Saunders unless he jumps into the clinch and stays there eating knees for lunch like that Wolff can did . If Hardy and Davis couldn't finish Davis Saunders wont either . Arguably Davis has won the fight against Hardy as well . Saunders has looked like a bum when on his back against Swick and I think Davis can take him down if somehow Saunders magically has improved his stand up and gets the better of him on the feet . Saunders doesn't know how to use his reach and his striking isn't all that hot, Davis has solid body kicks and don't think it has to be mentioned that he is good with his fists .

i just think folks see saunders as a live dog....and like those odds...maybe we`re way off...

there`s a height differential that wasn`t involved in the saunders/swick fight...that might have some bearing on what goes down..styles make fights....davis` last two losses were vs swick and hardy...both with significant height advantages...

and davis took an awful lot of punishment vs hardy...you can argue the decision...you can`t argue who got the shit beat out of them...davis was wrecked.....

and he`s 36...maybe that`s not a factor....just wouldn`t feel comfortable laying better than 2-1 here...
