I enjoyed the fights but to me they night was like most UFC events have gotten lately, SAFE. I'm tired of it. I use to love MMA and watched any and all that was on but it's changed too much for me. I would give anything to see Pride again and watch guys who wanted to fight and not just out point the other fighter.

IMO GSP is the leader of the pack in this department. I use to love watching his fights because he was a lot like Bones Jones, he would do things that made me say wow. Every since he got his block knocked by Sera he hasn't been the same. He just wants to win now and not lose his belt.

I think Nick is a major league A Hole but he comes in to fight and I appreciate that. I like the smack talk because it helps build anger in both fighters and fans. Anger makes for good passion and passion is what fuels sports.

I'm glad to finally have a winning night again. Maybe I can reach my +50 before the end of the year. I know I have one more max bet soon so I'm ready. Hopefully my losing is on hold for a while.

Nice job GW.

I forgot to talk about BJ and Nick on the ground. I forgot how much I loved seeing to high level BJJ guys go at it. I was really hoping after the 1st there would be more action on the ground.

As for Penn Diaz. I thought Penn did what i thought he would and pick Diaz apart in round one. Nick has a great jaw but he is just to wide open and a true 170 pounder with hands is eventually gonna knock his head off. Im watching that second round and there is all kinds of openings fort Penn but i guess Diaz pressure was just to much. Great round two for Nick. Then in round three i thought Penn started picking him apart again but there was nothing on his punches and Nicks size and pressure got him that round. Penn has to realize that the day of him fighting bigger guys is over. Guys are not as bad as they were years back. Everyone is getting better. You have to hand it to Penn. He had all these disadvantages and in round one he taught people how to fight a guy with a much larger reach. I thought he hurt Nick very early but the jaw kept him in the fight.

Ummm, pick Diaz apart? Sponge, come on dude. You were wrong about the fight, just face it.

You talk all this Diaz is open crap, but you fail to realize that when he's throwing constant jabs, combos, and punches to the head, body, liver, etc...you can't just throw a punch anytime you want because you're just leaving yourself wide open. Think about it, if you're in a fight with a guy and he's throwing 3-4 punch combo's constantly are you going to try and land a KO punch? Go for it, because the whole time you're trying to protect yourself. It's not as easy as it looks to just knock someones head off when they're throwing 90 punches to your 10 a round.

Your assessment of this fight might be the worst I've ever seen in any fight. Diaz completely picked BJ apart and dominated him. Quit reaching and trying to circle around you being wrong about the fight and just admit, you were wrong.

I lost what, 40$? I see you were awful silent 2 fights ago that I posted and cleaned house. Ive only posted picks for 3 fights this year, and "you always lose money" :mj07: - Well guess what, you'll always be a coward, just like GSP. I guess you white flag canadians are all alike :142smilie

Bucs, what part of his assessment was wrong? I think what Sponge said was right on the money and I had Diaz for an absolute chit load of money. The only thing I disagree with, but in way can't, is that Diaz will get his clock cleaned. I think that's what he may be trying to do is to get guys to swing and either miss or hit him. He's looney enough and has a good enough chin to try this. Everything else Sponge said is on the money.

bucs......nobody on here has lost more money on here then you.

Nobody.

You always say how great you are, yet never post a record and never come on here and say you lost.

Never.

You are pathetic.

I could go back and prove it if you want.......you are a constant loser in MMA. Maybe you win money in other sports I have no idea, but when it comes to MMA, you are terrible. It is all on here plain as day.

I could care less if one posts a record or not, or if one loses or not. But when you come on here and say how you "always post winners" yet constantly lose, you are exposed as a fraud.

It is all on here bucs.......

And as usual you only ever say anything when you win money (rare). But when you lose you say nothing. You are pathetic.

Again.....all your picks are on here and I have proof that you are in the negative. That is a fact. It is all on here. I will gladly show everybody that you suck in MMA. It is all on here. All the way back to your first post. You are way down, again, that is a fact.

Now go ahead and keep telling us how great you are.

Then again.........this is all ya need to know about bucs....what a fuck up:142smilie

As you can see bucs is a real winner:mj07:

Please find a post where I said I always pick winners and I'll leave. You're so fucking ignorant and make so much shit up in your own head. I don't even know why I bother responding to you.

I said i was betting small on Penn. U make it look like i said Penn would run right over him. Penn is the better boxer but what do u know. He is fighting a guy twice his size. Sometimes i wonder what the fuk u watch. I guess u thought Diaz won that first round. If bj had any stamina at all he might have won the dam fight. Heck even gassed he was getting shots in the whole third round. Diaz is so wide open it is laughable. His head seems to never move. God bless that beard because he would have gotten knocked out in the first if he didn't have it. U run ur mouth all the time. Last card i think u went 0-7. Im not even sure i could try and go 0-7 :mj07: :mj07:

It is a bit of a stretch to say he will get his head knocked off but he is so wide open and a legit 170 pounder might just do it. Like u said i love watching Nick fight. He comes to fight but there are openings. Big ones at that.

Don't get mad at me because I called you out on your bullshit. Just be a man about your biased opinion and man up.

Like I said, anyone wanna pick fights, straight up, keep records, loser leaves, I'm all for it. Until then, shut the fuck up.

My plays

Diaz - I just think he is going to wear Penn down. this is a great fight

Kongo - Losses to Mir and Cain are nothing to be ashamed of. Kongo has come closer than anyone to defeating Cain, rocking the now champion on more than one occasion. Such a huge difference in experience here though Mitrione has shown huge potential in his 5 fights

Hioki and Roop over 2.5. Battle of two tall featherweights. I think Roop wants to keep this standing

Palaszewski

Well great night for me going 4-0 with 3 dog wins. Diaz is a monster and I love watching this guy fight. Loved the way he stopped the second hook in the first round when BJ went for the back

When I took Palaszewski it was a decision I expected after the Griffin weight issues. I did not expect him to knock his block off.

Hioki did not look good. Ok it was his first UFC fight but the major concern was the ease that Roop took him down. Wrestling. offensive and defensive is something Hioki needs to improve. His trip takedowns are good but he needs more than that to compete with top guys.

The Kongo fight was not good.

Cerrone is climbing that ladder quickly.

Some of Curran's scissors sweeps were great to see even if they did not quite come off
