It would be nice if one of use knew which Big Nog was going to show up, the one with the chin or the one without one. I want so badly to bet on him but he's burned me too many times now both for and against.

He looked so good against Schaub and the odds are too friendly not to.

I googled but couldn't find out if it was confirmed that Nog had Staph in his first fight with Mir.

I'll be out of the country for a week, starting Saturday morning. Bummed about missing this event. I might buy the PPV and tape it just to see the top 3 fights.

Big Nog is the play

I remember Dana saying that Nog had staph leading up to the fight but it had cleared up come fight time. I think it played a part. He also had knee and hip injuries which have since had surgery. But he is still a lot older and I think he will have problems with the movement and angles of Mir though at these odds the play is Nogueira or no bet

I loved big Nog against Schuab but it was a total anti Brendon play. Here i don't think Big Nog has a prayer. The guy is washed up and isn't gonna beat a guy who can actually fight. Now does Mir fight smart or does he fight a Carwin type fight? It is either Mir for me or nothing.
Bones/Machida- I really liked Machida here. I thought he had a legitimate shot with these odds but after watching that press conference, Machida looked like a little kid standing next to Bones. That size advantage is just to much for me and i might even with these high odds, take a shot at Bones. Bones or nothing for me. Tito fight i'll pass. Little Nog showed great takedown defense against Davis. Tito only prayer is to get him down. If i had to take this one i would take little Nog or nothing. This one i will most likely pass on. I haven't been that impressed by little Nog and wouldn't be shocked if Tito finally catches up with him and pounds him out but then again Tito gasses to much for my liking.

You know how time plays with your mind and fish size, I had it made up that Nog had a Staph Infection and that's why he was so slow. Mir has been saying Staph or not - He lost because i hit him in the chin over and over. Can't deny that.

Yep can't disagree with that. I also think this was Mir's best performance of his career. Sometimes fans try to dis-credit a fighter. I guess Mir has a point to prove this weekend

I'm on Mir. Big Nog looked really bad against Schaub, he tried to take it to the ground many times but couldn't muster anything. I think the effects of old age will cause big problems for Nog's grappling game. Things like flexibility and hip explosion are huge on the ground and it looks like Nog doesn't have either anymore. He looks really stiff, slow, and possibly arthritic.

To be fair he did show improved head movement against Schaub, but was still very lucky to come away with the win. That had a lot to do with Schaub's inexperience, and like Sponge said over confidence could have been an issue. Basically the kid fucked up. I don't really see Mir making many stupid mistakes.

that is the only question for me in this fight. He has to go in and fight and realize he is the better fighter. Use the cocky arrogance he always had. He needs to go into the fight like Ellenberger did with Shields. I was all over Ellenberger but the one thing that worried me was Ellenberger fighting Shields giving him mucho respect instead of just going in there and fighting. Luckily Elly just went in there knowing he could win and took his head off. Mir can do the same thing or he can play around like he did with Crocop and my balls will be in my throat for the whole fight. Or a silly strategy like he did against Carwin.

Not the greatest betting card ever now the full odds are out. I may just sit this one out. Normally something jumps out and grabs my attention but this card does not have that

I'd love Machida to win but the size difference is huge. I would not be surprised to see Jones finish him inside 2 rounds. For Machida he has to make this like a fencing battle - without the sword:lol: and keep his distance and try to pick his shots. He is good in the clinch but against Jones this will not work and he has a good top game. But again he is not going to get Jones down.

Looking forward to Nog/ Mir but the age and injuries are to much to overcome in my view. This will be like the first fight though I would love to see a ground battle. Nog looked good last time out.

I actually like Tito's chances against Lil Nog. Since his 2005/6 high, Lil Nog has been a huge disappointment. Due the advanced age of the two I don't expect anything explosive but I think Ortiz can hang with Nog on the feet. This one is going to the judges and If Tito can get some takedowns he could take a split decision. But I cant put money on someone who has lost 5 out of 7

If Hallman was a few years younger and did not have his illness I may have been tempted on him. Now at 36 and a long timer sufferer of Coeliac disease I dont like putting money on him. I think he is (or was I should say) the better fighter.

Lentz (NCAA Div 1) can take Bocek down and is a tempting play but Bocek has the tools to sub him from scrambles/ from his back and is a much better striker.

I like Patrick but I don't like going against Ebersole. He can make good guys look bad

Hard to pass up those odds on Tito, and let us not forget Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has lost three fights in a row (yes I know it says he beat Jason Brilz but we all know Brilz won) and is feeling tons of pressure. I think the pressure gets to Noguera and Tito pulls of the upset. Worth a shot at the odds.

Jon Jones at -600:scared

Crazy odds, a lot of value in Machida.

Laying off that one since I'll be routing for Bones

like hallman, think he took ebersole lightly, the thong debacle, is bigger, and has the ground game (medium), ebersole (big)
kinda like igor, threw him in a parlay, think he can outgrind sozynski and gas him. (small)
