i don't really even know what to say here. When i judge a championship fight i give all close rounds to the champion. I feel ya got to take the title away. This fight i think Condit won for fighting a smart fight but if i was Judging it i might have giving it to Nick. This chasing a guy all night long never makes ya look good and if Nick didn't chase him there is no fight. I would have giving every close round to Nick. If this were a title fight no way would i give it to Carlos. Nick should have just stopped in the middle of the ring and demanded Carlos to come to him. Christ Carlos fought the same way Frankie Edgar does but at least Frankie engages. It is almost impossible to win chasing a guy down for 24 minutes and 55 seconds. I think Carlos engage two times if that. dIm glad i didn't bet anything on this one.

ppabart.....I can't read anything bucs writes, he's been on ignore for 2 months now.

Diaz fought like he always did. He didn't adapt. His corner was a bunch of idiots and he paid the price for surrounding himself with that group.

Nick didn't adapt.

Condit fought smart.

Diaz didn't.

Condit set UFC record for leg kicks. Condit outstruck Diaz. The pitty patter bullshit Nick usually employs was nullified and the crybaby little bitch Nick didn't know what to do.

Diaz clearly lost the fight and acted like a 11 year old girl when he got frustrated.

Here's a little tip for ya Nick.

CHECK THE FUCKING LEG KICKS YOU IDIOT

Oh and by the way......If you move forward it doesn't mean you are the aggressor. Nick moved forward and got hit and hit and hit and hit again.

Condit was the clear winner. Almost every "expert" you talk to says the same.

Again.....Condit fought smart
Nick didn't

Oh and nice takedown attempts Nick:lol:

Nick didn't know what to do when his pitty patter bullshit didn't work.

Oh and let us not forget Nick relies on his cardio to win fights. Well guess what Condit had cardio, and Nick was fucked.

Cardio didn't work.
Pitty Patter punches didn't work

Hence....Nick lost.

Condit outstruck Nick almost 2-1.....ya gotta love that:00hour

Go back to Stockton Nick.

boy Kic:mj07: kick if u read ur post u would think Nick got destroyed :mj07:

This kind of fight is hard to score when you don't have clearly won rounds.

Condit ala Machida used the circle, counter strike.
Diaz was the aggressor who came forward and cutoff angles.

I thought Condit clearly took the 4th and Diaz clearly took the 5th.

Personally I gave Diaz the 1st and 2nd and Condit the 3rd, but it could have easily been scored vice versa.

I thought the biggest thing last night was Condit having the same reach. He was able to stick and move and Diaz was throwing punches that hit nothing but air. I'm pretty sure Diaz has/had one of the highest thrown to landed rates in MMA.

This is exactly what i thought about the fight. Diaz always has the reach advantage but not this time. I thought the same thing about Machida and that is why i thought Rampage won the fight between the two. Ya got to give a guy something when he chases a guy around all night long.

As Nick was coming out of his corner to start the the 5th, someone said, "It's 3 - 1"

That's what I thought it was too.

That's when Joe said, "I think Carlos is winning this fight"

Shit maybe so.

I think we've seen it too many times, that leaving it up to the Judges is the last thing you should ever do. (Unless your Leonard Garcia)

It was definitely closer than MMA Weekly 50-45 Condit

But, you can't say, "He hit me with little itty bitty leg kicks" either  especially when you are known to throw half powered strikes

Looking at the numbers - Diaz wins round 2 and the dominant position taking Condit's back in my mind gives him the 5th. If he had more time, I think he would have submitted Carlos. But he didn't, so by the numbers I'd say Condit 48-47.

You realize that your ultimate bias against kickserv and GSp taint your viewpoint here, right? Please just own up to that. I have looked almost everywhere, and all the online experts (except one that I saw score the fight 48-47 Diaz) score the fight as a Condit victory, including Dana White. And you know Dana wanted Diaz to win. The take at GSP-Diaz would have been HUGE! And Dana isn't exactly afraid to say exactly what he feels, right?

I wasnt pinning my sole reason that Condit won on strikes. Obviously strikes don't tell the whole story....but they certainly tell some of it. I do give Diaz 2 rounds. He decidedly won round 2. But 48-47 Condit is most likely the mean score out of most people that unbiasedly watched this fight.

Condit simply wouldnt take the bait that Diaz wanted him to take. And why should he? Why should Condit say, "ok...I'll come fight the fight that Diaz wants me to." Bottom line is Diaz got frustrated. If he won the first 2 rounds like you say he did (and I won't argue that he did), then why wasn't Diaz smart enough to make Condit come to him at that point? Instead, he let Condit continue his gameplan and wear Nick out.

How? I even said I will be rooting for GSP to beat Condit. So where is your "bias" parallel? I can't stand Kickserv or GSP, but at the end of the day I always respect GSPs talents and call him a great fighter. I just speak the truth about him...HE'S BORING and only cares about the title and not giving the fans a show.

What makes these onlines experts any more smarter then anyone on here? Absolutely nothing. There is a reason they're online "experts" and not fighters. Think about that Bart.

Take away the leg kicks...which ABSOLUTELY EFFECTED DIAZ NONE. Diaz clearly out struck Condit. Did Condit ever land a shot or ever have a time where you thought, oh man he's picking Diaz apart or oh man he's got Diaz in trouble? No, but Diaz landed some nice combos that were brutal shots and he also got back mount on Condit on top of that.

I bet there's a rematch. With GSP saying he won't be ready for a fight until November, and both Diaz/Condit looking pretty decent coming out of the fight. I say let them rematch in July at the UFC in July on the 7th.

A fight this big and important, dont you think we should be walking away saying "yeah, he DEFINITELY won that fight and DEFINITELY deserves a shot against GSP." ????

Condit landed that Jab, lower leg kick, head kick combo and that was pretty damn impressive.

ok BUCS. You just believe what you believe, and I'll believe what I believe

Oh...and you wanna "take away the leg kicks" from Condit. Ok then....lets take away all the little jabs that Diaz threw that affcted Condit none. Where does that leave us? Silly comment isn't it?

This wouldn't be a bad idea but if im Carlos im not to suree i would be to happy about it but then again a fight with Diaz (another pay check)woiuld prolly be easier then getting taking down for five rounds.

i don't think at any time in that fight Diaz was even remotely hurt. I thought Condit was in trouble a few times.

Not disagreeing with you but Condit would raise holy hell in my opinion. I haven't heard Dana's thoughts on the fight but saw someone say that he felt like Condit had won.

When I watched last night, I thought Diaz won 48-47 (1,2,5) Looking at the numbers today (Yes - you have to include the kicks) I think Condit probably won 48-47 (1,3,4)

In my opinion the deciding round is how you score round 1.

The lesson to be learned here is, Go to the Fucking Press Conferences

I heard that and im almost positive it was Nate that said that. I thought it was stupid for him to say that.

We saw the fight almost exactly the same.

Condit threw about 10 spinning back fists but I don' remember any landing

He did 1 spinning elbow that connected.

I wonder what they saw in film to make them think the spinning back fist would be effective?

Ill play that game. Take away all the little jabs from both fighters. What are we left with? Diaz chasing and Condit running. We got our winner. GG

I noticed that too. He missed about every time it seemed.

Rounds 2 and 5 were no doubt Diaz. Condit clearly got round 4. I thought round 3 was the closest of all of the rounds, and I thought round 1 was to Diaz...he closed strong, and the beginning was just a feel out and didn't think anyone did much the first 4 minutes.

I don't see how the hell anyone scored it 49 for Condit
