That is a good match-up. But as I said Lombard will go from title contender to getting cut if he loses his next fight. Lombard brought it on himself.

Lombard corner:

"Your doing great"

The UFC is bringing this all on themselves. They put too much emphasis on winning. Pride always put the emphasis on putting on a good show.

IMO MMA has taken a big step back since Pride was bought by the UFC. It's just not the same.

I would much rather see guys go all out and take chances then someone like GSP man hump them for 5 rounds. GSP was great until he lost to Sera. Since then he never does crap because he's scared to lose.

The UFC- Where guys fight NOT to lose rather than to try and win.

I always love those that talk about Pride and their fights being exciting. Some of the Pride fights sucked. Many of em were filled with as Sponge says "cans". Yet, people like layinwood think "those were the days".

Oh and many of the fights in Pride were fixed.

90 percent of MMA fights are entertaining to watch, and some well, they suck. It happens. I guess we could go back "to the good old days" of Pride and fix fights and make em exciting then huh.

Fuck it, just watch WWE then:mj07:

Again, some fights are going to suck, it is going to happen. The Main Card was rough at UFC 149, but guess what there were 7 fights that were great. Some forget that.

"The UFC- Where guys fight NOT to lose rather than to try and win."

Yeah ok.......whatever, sure there are the rare times where that is true, but for the most part that statement is silly. Gimmie a break:facepalm:

Cie Grant.........no future at all if he fights like he did in the Kongo fight.

kick if Lombard fights the same way there is no way he is gonna get cut. Dana probably signed him to a huge contract. He isn't gonna lose that money.

45th time u are trying to convince people those fights were great :mj07: Do u think that the main card was so bad that maybe this has something to do with your opinion? A chess match would have looked great compared to the main card.

Kick let me give u an example of a good fight and a shitty one. Hominick against the Zombie. Hominick came in cocky with no respect for the Zombie. Hominich tries to knock him out because he has no respect and Zombie throws a beautiful counter right, right down the pipe and knocks him out. That is a good fight. Now JImmo fights Perosh and winds up from left field and knocks out a guy who should have clearly seen the punch coming. It wasn't a counter right straight down the pipe. It was a silly wind up from left field punch that knocked out a stiff who should have seen that punch a mile away..

As stated, a 7 second knockout and you find a way to complain.

If that doesn't entertain you I do not know why you watch MMA?

Kick, if you don't think the UFC has changed and changed for the worse you're crazy. Maybe you're in denial because it all starts with your boy.

GSP use to be one of my top 3 fighters to watch. He was exciting much in the same way that Bones is exciting now. But, once Sera layed it to him he hasn't been the same. He doesn't take any chances. You can deny it but if you must know you'll be looking just like Marine looked in the JoePa thread. Everyone is telling you something but you can't hear it.

I use to never miss a UFC event and now it's no big deal to me if I do.

Yep...layinwood....the UFC has gone "downhill".

As stated, yes there are fights that suck, and yes there are times where fighters are afraid to lose.

But to say the UFC has gone "downhill" is just silly.

Zuffa worth billions, yep, clearly nobody is watching all these terrible fights:facepalm:

"downhill" indeed:facepalm:

And I'll say it again, if MMA sucks so bad why watch at all?

If Sponge doesn't find a 7 second KO entertaining and let alone complains about it, why in the love of fuck would you even watch MMA?

But again, nobody is watching so the MMA community needs "fans" like Sponge and layinwood that complain about every event.

Note: It is worth noting that layinwood does not complain as much as Sponge, Sponge thinks every fight sucks, even a 7 second KO is cause for a complaint. layinwood has some valid points, the problem is that layinwood takes it too far.

Pretty much comes down to this. If you watched the prelim card for UFC 149 and you didn't like it, then nothing will make you happy, don't bother watching MMA.

Fights 8, 9, and 10 were awful.

So for the last time, if you are constantly bitching......why watch?

Does Kick own the rights on who should watch MMA? No wonder u get into all these asinine reality shows. I lay out two separate fight scenarios and how they ended, and u still don't see the difference and think just because it ended in 7 seconds, everyone should be happy for fuks sake. You don't know dik about talent or even fighting for that matter. It kinda of reminds me of how you thought Ryan Ford was the next big thing. Most guys that know talent saw a guy bull rushing people and mauling them knowing the first guy who actually knew how to fight, would beat him. Now you, you had him winning the title within a year with that silly bull rushing. Maybe if u watched boxing growing up u might have a little different of an opinion. No wonder u take 99 percent dogs just hoping one or two would hit. That would be something a guy who knows nothing about fighting, would most likely do.

And for the record I do not own the rights as to who can watch MMA.

I just don't know why somebody would watch something if they always complain about what they are watching?

I don't blame Lombard for that fight, I blame Boetsch. Lombard moved forward, Boetsch moved away the whole fight.Lombard stands there flat footed ready to rock, if you run the fight will suck.
