Overall 56-41 +56.14 units

Opinions 18-19 +2.75(always .5 unit)

Weidman +180 1unit

Weidman has the tools to beat Silva but the fact that it's 5 rounds scares me. I don't think he can finish Anderson so he has to last 5 and not too many fighters have done that. I do think Weidman can take Anderson down and avoid subs. The question is can he avoid the pin point striking while standing.

This is probably a crazy bet because outside of Chael nobody has come close to defeating Anderson but every champ has to lose at some point. Weidman has strong wrestling and good enough bjj.

I personally don't think the 5 rounds will be an issue for Chris. He has had a full camp and when he has had that, conditioning hasn't been an issue in his fights. His first fight in the UFC against Sakara was on short notice and Maia was as well. Other fights were finishes. GL :0008

CF, my worry isn't his cardio. It's the fact that he could dominate for 4 rounds but get KTFO in the 5th. If it was anyone else but Anderson I wouldn't worry but he doesn't need to do as much as most fighters to get the win. The win vs. Sonnen is the perfect example. I would feel better if he had to avoid the big shot for just 3 rounds.

Good point. Anderson still seems to be able to give the appearance that he is fucking around and/or getting beat down like Chael 1, then before you know it he decides to finish the fight. As for the Chael 2 fight, I think Chael knew going in he was toast. If not going in, after the first round.

I know Weidman's manager well. They are very confident he will give Silva a hard run for his $. Either way, I can't wait to see this fight. GL.

Everybody made weight.....sadly that is rare in MMA now.

Edgar standing on his "tippy toes" was kind of funny.:mj07:

I thought Weidman was a tiny bit smaller then Anderson, he wasn't.

Weidman ain't intimidated at all........time for the Champ to go down.

Guys, I'm pumped about the Silva fight! I hate going against everyone on here, but I think Silva takes it. I mean, Munoz and Maia were Weidman's 2 signature wins, but Munoz was coming off an injury and Maia at 185 is not the same fighter as Maia @ 170lbs. Every fight starts standing and I don't think Weidman will be able to take him down at will like everyone thinks. This guy (Anderson) is where he is for a reason and he will lose eventually, I just don't think it will be when everyone is expecting him to. However, the line says alot with Anderson only being -230 and dropping but the division has been thinned out over the years. They need a good/ close matchup with smaller odds to keep that division exciting. I'm pumped to see what approach Weidman takes to Silva early on because we know Anderson is just waiting for an opening. If it goes deep, it definately favors Weidman but I'll really be surprised if Anderson doesn't catch him early on. Good luck with your picks tomorrow night, as I will post a few in the morning myself.
