roussey is the latter-day female version of royce gracie....gracie was thought to be a god because he was beating bigger guys that had little to no knowledge of high level jiu jitsu here in the states........then after guys started becoming proficient,they brought old royce out of retirement to take a beatdown from matt hughes...another ridiculous hype job extrordinaire...

but i have to say selling this guy cummins(who was a fast food clerk about 10 days ago)as a real threat to a beast like cormier was maybe their best hype job to date(40 guys turned down fights with him?...lol)...if anyone gets a chance,slide over to sherdog and take a peak at their "fightfinder" fighter locator tool and check out the 4 guys that cummins beat......it`s pretty hilarious...


i`m not belittling anyone for buying into the hype(i`ve been there)...these guys are pro`s...it`s what they do....and they do it very well...

i know they hype, but now after biting on sonnen, once, and cummins, i think i see the pattern to rogan's patter. throw in some line movement too... just new to ufc...getting used to the way it works. mostly just play overs and that works pretty well. this stuff is not like other sports. if the night is going one way, to overs or unders, it pretty much stays that way, doesnt flip back.

betting MMA is trial by fire, you can lose on the first punch(hominick vs korean zombie)

lose on guillotine fast(tito ortiz vs bader)

lose if the fighter gets kicked in the balls(pringle)

the guy you bet on could be demolishing the other guy knocking him but hitting in the back of the head as the guy goes unconscious and dq'd(erick silva vs carlo prater)

I would love to see Rhonda vs Cyborg. A fight at 140lb would be big and sell well. They need to bring back Cyborg and let everyone see how brutal her fights could be. She's the female Wandy in his prime, at least IMO. I know she used but I think there's a pretty damn good chance Rhonda does as well. It is very difficult for a female to get her size girth in some muscles but to be that flat around the midsection.

ufc would make the fight at 135, they want ronda to win

and cyborg would almost die to get down to that weight and get that fat paycheck

either cyborg brutalizes ronda for 2 or 3 rounds and gets tko, or ronda weathers to storm and gets the armbar late when cristiane gasses

ortiz beating bader was the financial equivalent(to me) of getting raped by a broken-off broom handle with some barbed wire strung on the end........

i still feel it to this day...:facepalm: :grins:
