can`t remeber 3 fights(on one card) in any combat sport i wanted to see more than the 3 monsters we`re going to see on saturday night...i hate that they`re starting to main card with gaethje/chandler but that`s a small gripe...

i think most fans would rate the fights (in interest) in reverse order....the usman/covington fight `s hype is bordering on absurdity...it`s obviously all hype...i`m sort of shocked that dana didn`t ask covington to grow a handlebar moustache....it`s that silly....i hope they don`t start turning the ufc into wrassling...it`s a plenty good enough match-up to stand on it`s own merits...

i would doubt that chandler will alter his usual tactic of coming right out of the box like a whirling dervish...i think he realizes that gaethje is a slow starter and i think that 3 rounds(rather than 5) actually favors chandler....but,gaethje is just tougher than an old piece of hickory...i have to root for gaethje because i can`t think of any other fighter on the roster i `d rather watch....wondering whether chandler will try and grapple gaethje(if his first round blitz doesn`t get gaethje out of there)?....i expect chandler`s movement to give justin trouble and i think he`ll have to use his monster leg kicks to try and slow chandler down... the ufc should have figured a way to make this 5 rounds...

rose has a great resume...she`s about as well rounded a famale fighter as there is(this side of valentina)...but theres something off with rose psychologically(imo)...she`s all over the place...she really looks fragile(and zhang looks absolutely relaxed and appears to be having fun)....i expected zhang to be a considerable dog here....unfortunately,no such luck....this should be a hard,hard fight while it`lasts...if rose wins this i expect her sub game might be the key for her...this could be a struggle because zhang is more like andrade than joanna...and andrade`s strength gave rose some problems...zhang is a taller, much more technical,consistently persistent andrade...

i think that usman will handle covington(not because covington isn`t good...it`s because usman is that good...his stand-up is infinitely better than it was in their first fight)...covington has fought one time(vs wooden indian tyrone woodley) in the past two years...usman has improved in all aspects about as much as any fighter on the roster...but hats off to covington for going the extra mile to sell what looks to be the most one-sided fight of the 3 mega-fights...as usual,the oddsmakers are sharp...
