I'm getting this now because I don't think it can go anywhere but up.

Silva -351 5units (this will be my biggest bet of the year in any sport)

I don't care about the wood I'm laying. This is a freaking mismatch. Lutter is known for his BJJ but to be honest, I don't think it's better than Silvas. Anderson is amazing on the ground. I would be suprised if this goes past the first. I could be wrong but Anderson is just to complete a fighter at this stage of his career.

ps if you want to see Silva lose, google Silva and Chonan and watch the way Chonan wins. Absolutely amazing sub.

yes Silva is a massive fav and I wish ya the best of luck, but everyone and their dog thinks Silva will destroy him, I think Silva will win but not as easy as everybody thinks

as for other big favs:

Mirko Cro Cop -1150 :scared
Quinton Jackson -661 :scared

I might parlay the three of em...not sure

also...can't wait till GSP gets better :SIB

Kick, I think Silva has a lot better chance than Rampage does of winning. Heck, I think Eastman has already beaten Rampage before(although it was a long time ago). Silva rolls in this one. Lutter isn't in the same class or anywhere near it and for 351 it's really not that big of odds.

Holy sh$t if you want to see a ko like you've never seen, watch Anderson fight Tony Fryklund. I think it was a cage rage fight. Wow! Lutter is done, finished lights out.

jackson SHOULD win.....but,he hasn`t seemed the same since the beatdown that wanderlei silva gave him........

eastman usually loses to the top tier guys...but,he`s a "pedal to the metal" kinda guy...he`s out there to fight....

i would feel a little uneasy laying better than 6 to 1 on rampage......even though i always loved the guy...

If I was smart I would stick with just my Silva play but hey, these only happen once a month.

Parlay
Griffin
Machida 1unit

Straight
Cote -166 .5unit

Machida should do some damage in the UFC. It would be nice to see him drop down and give Anderson Silva something to think about. That division could shape up to be awesome. I'm ready to see Franklin back and fighting.

Kick, this is a sign to me that the UFC is putting on too many crappy fights. There's no way these fights should have this many bigggggg favs.

What's amazing to me is that you can look at the football as the most popular sport and one of the big reasons is that people love to bet on it. So if that's the case why wouldn't you model your sport after that and try to make the fights be a toss up or as close to it as possible. I think betting on the UFC could blow up if they do it right. Of course I might be wrong as I seem to be very often.

valid point layinwood.......although I will say, there is nothing better that watching some massive underdog pull out a victory with some flying knee. I mean imagine what happens if Cro Crop loses :scared I have never seen a fav as big as Cro Crop he pays like 2 cents if ya bet a million on him :mj07:

now....watch him lose :scared

i`m actually glad we don`t have to suffer through st pierre crusjing that midget from tuf......would be another mismatch...

this card is nothing more than a showcase for cro-cop and jackson.....they can get away with walkovers `cause people just want to see these two....but,as i said, jackson may not be the old jackson....we`ll see....

and just maybe luter has an outside shot......because of the styles.....silva`s had 2 made to order stand-up guys so far in ufc...tough guys,no doubt...but,good style match-ups for silva......might be worth a sawbuck

.otherwise, this ain`t the greatest betting ufc i`ve ever seen....unless you love laying huge odds and living dangerously....

but then you`d be sweating to profusley to enjoy the card...

that showtime card next week...and the pride card on,i believe, the 23rd,look really solid...

g.l.,guys...

**** Martin... didnt make the weight, buying back my bet and took Rivera -236 (1 unit) so no profit/loss on that fight... :(

By the way, GSP will be on Patrick Cot? side for the fight. I lean on Smith however.... havent pulled the trigger yet...

oh and... Layinwood, you gotta be happy with your bet: LUTTER DIDNT MAKE WEIGHT!!! :scared :142smilie :mj07: 2pounds over!!!! Line on silva at -440 now and it is too much for me to lay but now your bet looks like $$$$ :SIB :grins:

well.... now that i think of it.... Because stupid Lutter couldnt make the weight, the fight is not anymore for the belt so it will be a 3 round instead of the schedule 5 round fight. Check your bet Layinwood to see if it is STILL ON as sportsbooks took the line OTB since..

I would be pretty piss off*** if i was you and you see them void the bet... :mj16:

Took up the ying yang in IFL last night but no big deal. Very nice work by 1837 for those of you who didn't see it.

UFC isn't letting guys stay on the ground very long. If any of you where able to see Marquart vs Lister you would know what I'm talking about. I watched it online the other day. This favors Anderson of course but like I said he's very good on the ground.

My only worry with a 3 round fight is that Silva doesn't mind being on his back and usually in the UFC you can't do that and win fights.

GLTA oh yeah, it's in HDDDDDDDDD

I really hate tonight cards... too many HUGE favorite and it would be suicidal to bet on 'em, you never knows.... I would have taken Silva at the odds you had Layinwood but not now... :(

Will stick to my only play tonight (Hazelett) ...

anyhow, regarding some of you who took Cot?.... Not so hot on Cot? pick... I really hope you'll get the W but i like Smith in that one.... but...Because GSP will be on Cot? side,... NO PLAY for me!!!! :tongue

Gossip news.... Kickserv, here's the latest on GSP... I heard he was banging her.... http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=Octagongirl.detail&pid=499
