18, no way in hell Forrest beats Shogun. For those of you who haven't seen Shogun fight, get ready. He's the best at 205 in the world. He can do it standing with his feet and hands or he can go to the ground and do it there. Forrest should be happy to make it out of the 1st.

I agree.
Forrest has less than zero % chance of winning and I don't like to say that in MMA.
Shogun destroys him.

Didn't know if anyone on here saw it but Randy broke his arm in the fight. when he was blocking one of GG's kicks it broke his arm, not a bad break but a break that he faught thru non the less. Very impressive.

Layinwood, my contact is laughing very hard on your comment about Griffin with 0% of winning!!

His reply: Rua is too old to compete (carreer behind him) and he lost to Silva while Griffin was the first one to submit Ortiz in the octagon.

My buddy hasnt lost yet with his predictions (havent posted all of them but he is immaculate so far) and even predicts nice dogs. Griffin at +300 is too tasty to pass and glad i had it at +336!

Have other picks...

Quiton jackson -151 (1 unit)

Florian -161 over thomas (1 unit)

Leben +186 over martin (1 unit)

Diego Sanchez +121 over fitch (2 units)

Evans +116 over ortiz (2 units)

might add more units later on...

18, your contact doesn't know what the hell is talking about then. Shogun is only 26, he didn't lose to Silva and never will. They won't fight each other because they're good friends. One more thing, Ortiz beat Forrest. I'm not sure who he is talking about but it's not Shogun. the other thing is I never said he had 0% chance.

Boy i was gonna say the same thing as you but i started to think everything he said was right and i was terribly wrong. Tito getting submitted:shrug: when was this. I thought i saw a close fight he won. Thought i might have had the wrong guy fighting him. Then i thought Shogun was faking his age.

"the bunker"
basically split picks ,but lost a little(had aurelio straight, gonzaga straight(would liked to have seen whether gonzaga could have pulled it out without that nose.....randy may well have outlasted him...and at 44 that`s scary...scary good for randy...scary bad for gonzaga) )

also had gsp and the randy/gonzaga under 5 tied up in some parlays......

good fights...roger huerta`s a real buuzzsaw....

Apologies... :mj1: True Ortiz beat Forest BUT it was by split decision and it could have well gone either way...

About Rua you were right, he was not refering to him, Shogun is just 25 so he wasnt talking about him but regardless, he is not impress by his record with Pride and still like Forest over him.... :)

18, there's only one thing that worries me about Rua and it's the same thing that worries me about a lot of Pride guys. Was he on juice over there since they didn't test?

I just can't see anyway Forrest beats him. Forrest ko power really doesn't exist. He mainly out boxes people. Shogun has exceptional standup, a brutal thai clinch(ask Rampage), great ground and pound and his bjj is awesome as well. Forrest is a very big 205 as you could hear Coutoure say he's walking around at 240 right now, but Shogun is big as well. Many thought he would move up to challenge Fedor in Pride because of his size.

This fight is mearly a warmup and an intro to UFC fans as to who Shogun is. What better name to introduce him against than Forrest. His next fight will be against the winner of the Page Henderson fight. He's already demolished Page and he's licking his chops to get back at Hendo for the Silva ko. Meet your new LHW champ!

I agree Shogun may have been using, but he is a beast to deal with on the Roids or not.
Roids dont help ring skill and experience which is huge over what Forrest has done.

Wins over Nog,Rampage are 10 times better than wins over Bonnar and an aging Tito.

Anyone have thoughts on Monson vs. Rizzo this Saturday??? Should be interesting.

Not sure on that fight yet but I hope to be there. I should know Weds if I'm going. It would be nice to see this live.

I like Shogun's chances too.
IMO his agressive style will be too much for Forrest who really is nothing special.

I also like Lyoto over Nak and Silva over Franklin.

Monzon should be too much for Rizzo, I just cant say in what condition he (Rizzo) is right now.
This is probably one of the main factors why MMA is so unprdictable. Rizzo has never been submitted either.

As for Gonzaga, I thought he would be too much for Cotoure.
Fortunately I did some reasearch and watched his fights against Jordan and Werdum, and there it was plain to see that his conditionning sucks.
On top of that he gained 9 lbs since his fight against Crocop...

I just got done watching a few of the fights that weren't on tv. I have to say that Mir looked awesome and when he was done he mouthed "I'm back." If he does start being serious again with the re signing of Vera and with the fact that Fedor is in town this week trying to finalize a contract with the UFC........ wow is all I can say. Apparantly they're trying to work Barnett in as well. The HW division will be unrealllllllllllll.
