"the bunker"
some stuff....

ufc signed vanderlei silva......dana white called it "the highlight of his 7 year ufc career"......
.......................
josh koscheck has a secret strategy vs gsp....

"Regardless of what version of St. Pierre shows up or what strategy he uses, Koscheck isn’t concerned. He’s never been the type to study fight tapes and develop a specific game plan. Instead, Koscheck is focused on his own preparation, and even suggests that those watching the fight will be surprised by what they see from him.

“I have a strategy none of the UFC fans have seen before,” Koscheck says.

He’s so prepared that he’s almost literally chomping at the bit to get to Las Vegas and get the fight started.

“I want to go out and compete,” he says. “I’m sick of being in San Jose [training].” ....

sept. 1st ppv........some decent fighters....

I couldn't imagine fighting someone and not doing any film work. Maybe he thinks he is Ali or maybe he is just bullshitting.

gsp/koscheck has the potential to be a long, grueling fight....

neither guy is a huge submission specialist...both very atheltic....

this looks to me like 2 gnp`ers playing right into one another`s strengths......

btw...which 5 fights will they show?...

gsp/koscheck

couture/gozaga......these 2 are a given...

but you have stevenson/pelligrino...mir/kerplunk.....aurelio/guida(my personal fave),grove/cote,huerta(tough nut) vs undefeated alberto crane.....

and sobral/heath....

there are no dogs...all competitive fights.....

this is why mma is kicking sand in boxing`s face.....you have boxing promoters protecting fighters...building records vs garbage competition...much to the public`s chagrin....

while in mma,the top guys are almost always fighting each other....

I hope they show em all.........sometimes ya get lucky and they show all but one.....guess we will have to see

they will show these fights for sure (they are considered "main card" so they will be shown):

-Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
-Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck
-Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino
-Kendall Grove vs. Patrick Cote
-Roger Huerta vs. Alberto Gonzales Crane

as for these:

-Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida
-Renato Sobral vs. David Heath
-Antoni Hardonk vs. Frank Mir
-Thales Leites vs. Ryan Jensen

Maybe we'll get real lucky and they will show them all  Of those 4 I hope they show the Guida fight :SIB

My guess is that they will show the Babalu fight as a filler first over the Guida fight.
No way they show them all.
NEVER HAPPENS.

I seen enough of Mir to last a lifetime. Maybe they can sit that one out.

I just looked at all the fights again and i honestly can't say which ones I want to see more. I do want to see Mir and Hardonk. For some crazy reason I'm taking Mir in this one(depending on line)

Adding:

Mir -167 .5unit
Pellegrino +248 .5unit
Aurelio +123 .5unit

Adding more on GSP
GSP -233 1.5units (makes 2 total)

I would feel a LOT better if the GSP fight was 5 instead of 3 rounds. Saying that, I'm not too worried. GSP by sub in the 2nd, I'm guessing armbar on a mistake by Kos.

May bump on my Randy bet but I doubt it. I'm comfortable with what I have. This is going to be a great night of fighting.

Suprised GG came in 9lbs heavier than he did in the Crocop fight. There are all sorts of thoughts on how this could help or hurt. He could be slower and gas quicker or it could help him on the ground when he's on top. My thinking is that he came in light vs Crocop because he needed the extra speed and wasn't worried about the ground.

It's been a long time since Coutoure fought Ricco and Barnett, I think he's evolved as a fighter since then. At least I hope he has :SIB

Yep, Roger is a good fighter and should win this easily but it is MMA and little gloves. We don't know how good yet but he's solid. The UFC for some reason just won't put him up against anyone so we can truely gauge his ability. I
