UFC BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Dana White has said he will be making a announcement on Thursday that will rock the MMA world.
I have heard two rumors:
1.This seems impossible to believe because I think it would have been leaked already: Floyd Mayweather to sign a fight deal with UFC. One rumor said a $200M deal which is 100% ridiculous on so many levels.

2. This is way more real: It has already been announced that UFC will be in Atlanta in Sept and Liddell will headline the card. The rumor is he will fight Wandy again and winner gets Rampage/Griffin win.
The big catch here is the Wandy/Chuck fight will be aired on "FOX".

Not sure #2 rocks the MMA world,but it tells people that Networks think it will make them money and there is a place for it.

I guess we will see on Thursday, but don't hold your breath for a Mayweather deal.

If #1 is true I will do the following:

-Cheer for Diego Sanchez and tatoo his name on my pe*us.

-Tatoo "Kimbo is best ever" on my ass.

-Eat nothing but Tofu for rest of my life.

-Watch figure skating and baseball for 976 straight hours.

and then take a chainsaw to my balls.



And if I were to guess..........it would be a network TV deal, or perhaps a "catch weight" tourney. But who knows.......but I assure ya, it ain't #1:142smilie

Of course, if some super massive crazy thing like "Fedor vs Randy" was announced, that would shock the MMA world for sure:scared

From this quote it has to be some kind of TV deal.. Im guessing they worked out the deal with HBO or w/ FOX..

It better be cool b/c last time Dana said he was gonna make a 'huge announcement' it was that UFC signed a deal with Budweiser.. Great sponsor and everything, but cmon, dont leave fans on the edge of their seats for something like that..

Yea.. i read about Anderson Silva maybe moving up to light heavy, but Dana's words (talking about the future, etc.) make me think its gotta be the TV deal w/ a good solid card.. And i personally dont see Anderson Silva vs. Liddell happening.. that leaves the 185 division all screwed up..

Wouldnt be surprised if its what kegray had heard... that Liddell-Silva or some other big matchup is on FOX.. Sh*t.. I would watch ANY free card the UFC put on.. its almost hard to screw up a card w/ all the talent they have in various weight divisions...

Dana White will be on CNBC today at 12:40 et.. The announcement MIGHT come then.. who knows? :shrug:

The article talks about other rumors i hadnt heard about.. Like a restructuring deal, etc.... Apparently White said it wasnt about a TV deal.. :shrug:

Another rumor was Kermit Cintron is making the switch from boxing. He does have a wrestling background way back in the day. Makes way more sense than Mayweather ever coming.
