+78.59 Joe Rogans

Karo Parisyan beat Thiago Alves $1.61 *1.5 Joe Rogans

Karo has been bitchin' for the longest time that he deserves a title shot (I disagree)....but I think he'll step up and beat Alves, his Judo skills should be enough to pick up the win:SIB

Also...........the Houston Alexander fight should be insane :scared :scared What a match-up :scared

This card is better than most of these shit payperviews Dana has been delivering. Can't see how Maynard can beat Edgar but that should be a great fight.

I originally had Parisyan, but then got scared :mj08: and bought it back.. Alves' last three fights have ended by either KO or TKO, and i was really impressed by his standup skills against john alessio. Parisyan better not lose or he may NEVER get that title shot... mostly its just his conditioning that worries me.

taking joe lauzon at +180 for a small play.

also may be interested in taking pellegrino over diaz, but havent checked the lines yet and diaz has a history of stealing my thunder. :nono:

i read that Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard may not be televised which is trash, but the telecast is three hours so im hoping theyll fit it in. :0corn :0corn

Lauzon looks like a nice dog play. If I'm not mistaken he's been out on the Big island training with Penn. So getting in the cage with Florian shouldn't present him with anything he hasnt' seen from BJ. I just hate going against Florian because of his elbows and how much he cuts people(and the fact that he's good).

To me Karo is a joke, I like his fights and to me he's entertaining but to think he deserves a title shot makes no sense. Beat the people in front of you first and then maybe you can complain.

http://mmamania.com/

they r listin the maynard/edgar fight as the swing bout on the site linked above, but no worries here :weed: b/c Spike will have room to show seven or eight bouts if they want.

we'll see how karo "decision" parisyan fares against a finisher... ive still got a bit riding on him.

I give MMA organizations a little credit for their PPV shows just basing it on how we were ramrodded for YEARS by boxing PPVs.

This card looks fantastic!

Dawg i see your point but to me Dana is already at this point and i don't need him to bullshit me all the time about what a great card he assembled. I have heard him numerous times say that the difference between the MMA and boxing payperviews is that all his cards are stacked and that is complete bullshit. Im not even sure he knows what a good card is because he is so blinded by greed. To me this card is better then almost every pay per view he has ever put up. Got to keep it quiet tho cause he might see this post and take a few of these fights off. On another note how many times on the pay per view card most of us are in agreement on what fights to watch, but he puts in one or two that are not even close to the ones we want?

3 hour show...we should see a slew of good fights....

5 dimes is a tad lazy with these lines....nearly all these fights look line-able....

who is sammy schiavo?....some phenom?..from france?....i don`t think so......guida is a tough lil` mofo....they aren`t doing schiavo any favors....

fantastic card...withn the ult. fighter coming on at 10?....

not to shabby...

At the moment I'm picking Pellegrino and Edgar. Some books have released odds already and Pellegrino is around +150 and Edgar is -150.

Adding...

Adding...

Roman Mitichyan +135

* I have seen four of Roman's fights.. in each of them he used his gnarly takedown skills to take his opponent down and went on to submit each of them within two minutes.. hoping he'll continue with this strategy.

Kurt Pellegrino +160

** Diaz's toughest opponent yet w/ the exception of Manny Gamburyan, who lost to Diaz due to injury. Pellegrino is a legit BJJ black belt under Ricardo Almeida and a good wrestler.... if Diaz is able to submit him like all his other wins - he is the real deal.

agree with the picks...and this looks like the perfect match-up for limited houston alexander.....

i think that irvin is a less dangerous alexander-style guy... and i suspect alexander will be a bit to much....

a little worried about alexander`s stamina,though...if he doesn`t get irvin out early as he should,??????...

parlay fodder...i ain`t layin` the odds...

i am layin` the odds with edgar....tough dude with some solid wins under his belt...

.pellegrino might be worth a look at plus odds...i think that diaz has real potential, but,he seems like he might struggle vs physical guys...he`s not a strong guy...and pellegrino`s losses have been mainly to 170 pounders...both have subs,so it might be difficult to sub either guy....maybe the stronger guy just bullies his way to a decision....tough fight...i wouldn`t go crazy....diaz has absolutely no quit in him...nate`s so g.d.`ed long limbed.....he could take a beating and still catch a tired pellegrino in a sub later in the fight...

i`d like to use hammill in a par,but his stamina is suspect and he seems to think he`s chuck liddell now........he seems to have abandoned his tremendous and dominating wrestling game....

i honestly think this is as good a card, bottom to top,as i`ve seen in awhile...really good competitive fights....not just marquee guys beating scrubs....

a real fight fan`s card... wish we could see every fight...

Sponge -- Are you talking about Dana White or George Bush? Your stance on both sound quite similar... :)

I call a spade a spade. Its not me who has come up with the greed angle. Its all those fighters who keep leaving. You guys need to watch Channel 79HD on direct TV every friday. Great stuff. You have the announcer and Baus talking about MMA from all over the world and then you have three panelist. Last week it was Big John McCarty, Dan Frye, and Pat Millichek (sp). They were talking about this new oranization that wants to rate the best fighters in the world. Think it is called Whamma. You can see the disgust the three of them were having with the UFC. Frye is hilarious. First time i ever heard him talk. Great show if you like MMA. Surprise people are taking Lauzon over
Florian. I have been on record saying how a lot of these cards sucks and got a little chit for it. This to me is a supercard. Keep this between us. I would easily buy this one. shhhhhhhhhh

Yeah. Just kidding, sponge.

This is probably a slippery slope. I hope the sport puts some checks and balances in place so there are not "independent" organizations who actually have say in the rankings. This will lead directly to the demise of the sport as exemplified in boxing.

I don't know what the answer is because the UFC having all control is not good either.

Folks smarter than I should spend some time (and I'm sure they are) figuring out the system that is best for the three important parties: the fighters, the fans, and the businesses who are needed to lead, sponsor, and govern.

Best Bet-Sotiropoulos-185 over Mitichyan.

I don't think it's gonna be an easy night for Sotiropoulos, but it seems most agree with u as the line has changed significantly since opening. This is another bout I hope theyll squeeze in the telecast. :0corn

GL to ya. :SIB
