The fact that Karo even protested that stoppage tells me that he was out.. :dizzy: that stoppage was perfectly legit. Right when i was about to say we may get to see a third round Karo gets jacked.

didn`t realize maynard was so much bigger than edgar...he`s to strong...

tough night for the kid....

In college Maynard wrestled at 157, whereas Edgar wrestled at 141.

I picked Edgar, however, because Maynard gassed in his last fight after 1 round and with this fight being in Denver I figured it would be even worse. Also, Edgar has both good endurance and workrate.

I also probably underestimated Maynard's last opponent, Siver, he did a lot better than Edgar.

After looking throught the thread it looks like we did horribly as a group.

Pretty dissapointed, I was confident going into this event.

Well i didn't bet any but almost push the Edgar button. These fights were tough. I to was surprised at the size difference with Edgar and Maynard. And i think it is safe to say that Alexander has a glass jaw. I bet if i would have bet tonight the ship most likely would have sunk. I did hit a couple combo's tonight but unfortunately they ware the preztle and cheese variety.

Honestly i need to see what Serra has to say about this fight. Where is he? I don't need to hear him tell me after the fight that he tried his best but his back just didn't give it to him. I see GSP comment on this fight but nothing from Serra. Come on Matt. Are you healthy or not? I also think GSP having home field advantage could work against him. He might start hyperventelate cause he will be so jacked up. He could be worn out before he even gets in the ring with all of the excitement this fight will create in Oh Canada.

This isn't a brag post, actually, it might be more or so luck! But I made my wagers with yes, 1 minute to go before it locked up pre fight.

I didn't even get a chance to pick all the fights. However, I ended up getting my second best night ever.

So, here's what I had:

Kenny Florian

Split decision
---------
Thiago Alves
Fight ends in round 2
Submission / Tapout
---------
Matt Hamill
Fight ends in round 1
Submission / Tapout
---------
Nate Diaz
Fight ends in round 2
Submission / Tapout
----------
Houston Alexander
Fight ends in round 1
KO / TKO
----------
Frank Edgar
Unanimous/majority decision
----------
Din Thomas

----------
Clay Guida
Fight ends in round 1

They both sound 100%. GSP will have a ton of pressure on him so i think it will get very interesting.. will GSP stand with serra where he got beat up last time? or will he put serra on his back where he feels comfortable (unlike koscheck and hughes)??

thanks Raw. Serra is crazy if he thinks that back problem is all healed. I have the same type of problem and i remembered when i finally felt like myself again. I just got done working out. Stretching my back out for about a half an hour and then working out. I felt great and when i came up the steps their was a clothes pin on the floor and i go to pick it up and bang i was in bed for three days. Hopefully he is right but a day don't go by where i don't think about being in that pain again. Everytime i bend i think about it but i can use proper form. Forget proper form in a fight. If healthy i still give him a chance. He has the boxing skills to beat him unlike Koscheck and Hughes. I think this is GSP big flaw. the Shirks, Hughes, Koscheks of the world he looks awesome but i need to see it against a Boxer.

Yes, he beat Sherk, but that was awhile ago. Sherk has come a loooooong way since then. As has GSP, but just saying.

I'll definately be amped to see anyother upset.

Just got back from working away from hometonight, so I could not post.

For UFN I picked

Karo and George as favourites.

Johnson, Maynard and Kurt as underdogs.

I picked 3 out of 5 correct, including 2 underdogs, and I still managed to be down about $1,000 as I bet most of my money on Karo.

He has been fighting grown men since the age of 14 and has never been hurt like that.

He did not look in the best of shape. Has all the talent in the world but seems to be a lazy prick.

He did look a little soft. as a matter of fact he always looks soft. After that knee lets see how soft he looks next fight.

Karo hasn't looked impressive in a long time. In fact, ever since losing to Diego Sanchez I've noticed that he's tried to rely on his judo and lay-n-pray on his opponents. All in all, he's a boring ass fighter who thinks he deserves things that he has no business getting into.

He turned down a fight against Fitch because he felt that if he wasn't going to get a title shot he should face a "weaker" opponent.

""You have to understand," Parisyan said, "that I was offered a title fight for sure, so I said, 'You know what? I'll get an opponent that I have a higher percentage of beating.' I still think I can beat Jon Fitch. But still, the reality is, it's still a tougher fight."
