I think Cole steps up at takes down Junie in this one. Yes Junie has improved since the show, but I think Cole has the experiance to beat Junie. Plus Cole did just beat the ever powerful Jorge Gurgel:142smilie

Why do you think bookies have this line so close and all people now betting on Miller at those odds ... seems like bookies are giving money away , doesn't it ?

i`m thinking about taking browning based on this fact...and the fact that he`s actually training full-time with a solid team....and the fact that miller struggled like hell vs a very pedestrian gurgle who manages to continue to get fights in the ufc in spite of blowing practically every big opportunity...

browniing is very talented...the question is,"can he keep his head on straight for 3 full rounds vs a decent opponent and not get subbed?"....not a great opponent... a good opponent...a solid guy...

i actually think he`s good enough in the other aspects of the game to beat miller...

Reminds me of his his brother's Micah's fight against Yoshiro Maeda few weeks ago in DREAM 7 . Micah had huge reach advantage , almost looked like when Fedor fought Hong Man ... very dangerous off his back but other than that he didn't offer all that much ...
I am not betting on Miller here , even if he ends up winning in less than 1 minute . IMO this is a huge trap here ... all people I know are betting on Miller thinking Junie is a joke , well he is but Cole hasn't fought in 8 monthes and UFC would most likely earn more money promoting Junie .
Like gardenweasel has said Junie is now training full-time with great camp , Cole himself is training with ATT but I am not sure about his game other than subbing people . Junie might be able to score points in stand up and win this one .

i was all ready to take a shot with steve cantwell until i watched some video of luis cane......pretty dangerous dude...a lefty that throws straight punches and is uber aggressive....knees...strikes...decent on the ground...excellent g&p...

saw him fight off his back and come back and win...

cantwell impressed me the last time couple times i watched him.....he can fight...i was ready to take the dog...then i watched a few of cane`s fights and he has some talent...

gonna be a nice tiff...

I've done research on this one like 3 weeks ago or so , pretty deep on ''Banha'' here . Luis is a very dangerous dude , his only loss was bs DQ against Irvin but nobody to blame , shouldn't knee a downed opponent . Cantwell looks solid beating up cans just like Thiago Silva until Machida owned him ... Yes , Stann is a big can and Cantwell got KOed rather easily in their first fight in like 50 seconds even if that stoppage was a bit questionable . Don't even have to mention last guy he fought who was waiting to get punched in the face with zero defense . Cantwell was a purple BJJ belt last time he fought , Luis is black belt , will have solid reach advantage , great clinch work training gibi thai and southpaw . Warch his fight against Sokoudjou and you can tell this guy is legit and tough , Soku connected there with several power punches and nasty power kicks but couldn't shake Luis off .

i watched 2 other fights and was very impressed....i like to see what these guys do outside the ufc....

he`s a very offensive minded fighter...he makes his opponents think about their defense more than their offense....

-250 isn`t outrageous(even though i don`t like laying odds...probably par him with some things)..they certainly arent doing cantwell any favors in his ufc coming out party...

2009 Record
10-2 +18.11 units

Going very big on this.

Kampmann -115 5units

By far my biggest play since my loss on Lidell vs Evans but I'm up a good amount this year and I love this bet.

Kampmann has beaten a lot of very good fighters and at a heavier weight, his only loss in the last 5 years was to Nate and there is no shame in that. I love Condit and have won big money on him but I think there is a slight edge for Kampmann and I'll take it.

I think Kampmann/Condit is the best matchup on the card..... been awhile since the main event is the best matchup on the card.

I personally feel like Kampmann is one of the most overrated fighters in the whole UFC, but i'm willing to change my mind if he can handle Condit.

i'm getting more confidence in kampmann as the fight approaches. he's good grappler as seen with his quick subs vs. mcfedries (yes, i know he sucks on the ground) and rivera and he went the distance with leites. he's durable as well as evidenced by the flush punches from mcfedries that he withstood. also he should have the strength and wrestling advantage against condit. he has good endurance and this will be his 2nd fight at ww, so he should be getting acclimated to the weight.

condit's main advantage should be his standup, but with kampmann's durability and wrestling advantage, that should be readily offset.

kampmann by dec i'd say.

in my mind it would be a good thing if Condit were out-wrestled... that makes for more scrambles on the ground and, IMO, doubles Condit's chances of pulling off a submission. He's had major success against wrestlers in his career.

I'm suprised you think Condits advantage would be standing up. Almost all of his fights are finished by subs. He hasn't shown that much stand up skill, I think Kampmann's standup should be quite a bit better than his. Kampmann's stiking is very good(you're not a tai boxing champ without having good striking) and like you said he seems to be able to take some punishment. I was actually very impressed when I went back and watch the Nate fight. The kick he took from Nate would have taken most guys out then and there but he kept fighting. Unfortunately for him he took some more bombs after that.

i`m thinking the same thing,layin`...i like kampmann`s stand-up....he`s very well rounded...

my one beef with kampmann is that maybe he`s just too relaxed in there....he seemed to be easing into his fight with marquardt while marquardt hit the ground running...

he`s a patient fighter...he can be a little too casual in there...

i think on the ground is where he might run into trouble vs condit....condit`s a f-cking octopus..
