GW...I am beginning to think they announced the wrong winner in the ring. Every site I have seen scored it for Cantwell.....

Brian Stann vs. Steve Cantwell
R1 - Both fighters are rushed to the cage to keep up with the TV schedule and start trading strikes in classic fashion... as expected. Both fighters land hard with Cantwell being just a bit crisper and pressing forward the entire round. 10-9 Cantwell
R2 - A carbon copy of round one. There seems to be no sense of urgency by Stann as Cantwell again outpoints him on the feet.
R3 - Round three is just like the previous one. Cantwell stalks and Stann searches for a hole in Cantwell?s defense. Cantwell controls the entire 15 minutes yet loses a curious decision. Again the crowd is unhappy.

yeah,i`m seeing mostly the same stuff,g.k.......that`s why i`m curious about cantwell`s reaction to the verdict.....
it won`t change my account balance,but,i`m beginning to question my sanity when it involves contact sports wagering....
i could understand cantwell getting caught...but,i`m still shaking my head over stann winning a decision(30-27 on two cards)....while,from most reports,running for the majority of the fight...
just can`t picture stann as the better technician...:shrug:

still doesn't explain how Cantwell lost this fight. My parlay was already belly up will Larson losing. But I did have Cantwell in one future with Mayweather, etc.

I scored it 2 to 1 Cantwell, giving Stann the benefit of the doubt in the 2nd
but Stann was doing the Derrick Gainer all night
1 punch, run away
1 punch, run away
Cantwell, on my card, clearly took rounds 1 and 3
but the problem is round 2 was close
and in a short fight
this is the type of shit that happens
30-27 Stann is despicable
Stann did NOTHING in the 3rd....absolutely nothing
His corner told he he was winning, and he ran around the entire third round
Cantwell was disgusted afterwards and didn't want to shake hands

"I think Cantwell got screwed. All Stann did was throw a couple strikes and then get the hell away and repeat. I thought the judges were supposed to score for striking, octagon control and aggression? Here is what the judges watch for in a fight.
-Clean Strikes (could go either way in all honesty)
-Effective Grappling (doesn't really apply but Cantwell stuffed 2 takedowns to 1 for Stann)
-Octagon Control (Easily Cantwell)
-Effective Aggressiveness (Easily Cantwell) "
