my thoughts.

Pearson should have no problem with Miller. Miller is a very average boxer with a weak chin.
Palhares is no chump and no way i would take Nate at those odds. Palhares has a great chin.
Escudero`s looked fit to me. Didn't see a softness. I like the other guy even if it was an even fight.
One note it is hard to root against Nate. the guy might be the most polite guy in MMA. Just seems like a super class act. Unless he lands a big shot like he did against Mai, i think he is in some trouble here. This kid can take a shot.

All right gonna try some odds on this card:

Rousimar Palhares wins by 3 round decision over Marquardt +736 for 20 wins 147.20 :scared -- I think Palhares will push the action early and win the 1t round. Just need him to steal one more round. I don't think he can finish Nate. 1st round is really key to this wager.

Also same fight I could not pass on these odds:
Nate Marquardt wins by submission +1456 for 10 wins 145.60

Charles Oliveira +160 over Escudero for 50 wins 80.

Yves Edwards +110 over Quick Guns for 50 wins 55. -- Battle of two Houston guys. :0corn

Going with:

Natal (-180)
Pearson (-260)
Oliveira by sub (+400)

a little nervous about Rafael coming off a few day's rest and a possible letdown after completing the career grand slam at the US Open....but I think the champ in him gets it done.

Yep......clay court octagon would be nice....but sponsors don't like the clay octagon. The signs get rubbed out in 1st 2 minutes:walk:

maybe it`s me,but there seemed a significant size difference between some of the fighters on tonight`s card....not just from the square-up photos...i got the same impression watching the weigh-in...

i`m gonna post em...and see how they shake out...just for the hell of it...

jared-hamman-kyle-kingsbury.JPG

kingsbury appears to dwarf hamman...

rich-attonito-rafael-natal.JPG

natal looks the bigger man...

t-j-waldburger-david-mitchell.JPG

mitchell bigger than waldburger...

brian-foster-forrest-petz.JPG

i thought petz looked a good deal thicker than foster...

jim-miller-gleison-tibau.JPG

tibau looks bigger(but not as much as i expected).....

nothing scientific...not making a point of any kind...just seemed more noticable than usual...

let`s see how it plays out...

Hi guys, my name is Layinwood. Who is someone good to follow in the MMA forum?

I don't have a freaking clue tonight. I've been spending too much time capping football to even pay attention to this. Actually I've looked at it and IMO it's one of the toughest cards I've seen to find a good play.

So I'm going to sit back and enjoy not having the opportunity to lose.

Good luck everyone!:toast:
