Rory just outclassed it seemed. 1 step behind and out thinking himself. He only got the best of Wonderboy when it got wild.

Well Rory did nothing for 4 rounds (actually Thompson didn't do much either). Rory stepped it up in 5th....but way too late. He deserved to lose. Guess his fight with Robbie Lawler messed with his head.
Pretty shitty fight to end things.

Had to go to sleep because working today - was it that bad? I would have thought Rory would have tried taking Thompson down, but that karate style is hard on people to get inside (Alvey vs Theodorou). Looking forward to watching the fight.. sigh. Really glad I didn't make a big (10 units) bet on Rory, but I liked him the whole way. Eek. Tried fading Thompson vs Hendricks and now Rory - he may be for real...
Btw, making my MMA debut next Saturday June 25th at a regional card in bum-fu3k Wisconsin at the ripe old age of 33 years old at featherweight. I'll post pictures and videos (win, lose, or draw). Just a bucket-list thing for me, we'll see how it goes!
Damn, Rory looked really bad. I'll give Thompson credit for being a very good fighter but IMO the one thing I worried about came true, Lawler beat the fight out of Rory. Thompson is going to be Lawler but it's going to be boring as hell. Kenny was saying you can't rush in on Thompson because of his movement but to me you have to because if you sit back he's going to do what he wants.
Maybe a good guy for GSP to come back against.
