the one fight deal sure backfired on white...that quick k.o. showed absolutely nothing to mma fans that a boxing or toughman k.o. wouldn`t show....

if they`d shown guida/bendo,it would have accomplished everything that jds/cain didn`t.....

and dana was pissed.....opportunity missed...

Not all is lost, brother. If you tuned in for the first time, you are probably interested in seeing if this JDS guy can knock out the next guy as fast. If you are trying to get peoples' attention, that should have done it. I think Dana would have loved another round or two, but this is far from disaster.

I thought the whole thing was a massive flop. The only way it could have been worse is if the Bendo/Guida bout was not as good as it was.

It probably even turned people off MMA.

Bologna. What would have turned people off is a five round ground war. The best thing they could ask for was a 2nd round KO, but they ended up getting a quick 1st round KO. Could have been a lot worse.

 I thought the quality of the whole show fell off in comparison to the PPV events.

The undercard was filled with some serious bums and they were banking on the main event being the draw, but it was just like the stereotypical boxing mach from the movies that ends early and everyone boo's and wants a refund.

They should have put something like the GSP/Shields card in Toronto, that was amazing.

This card was about one fight selling the sport. It was an advertisement. Could it have been better, yes. Could it have been worse? HELL YES. I think the show accomplished what it tried to accomplish. As for the quality of the card, I was really happy with it.

I think if I was a new fan sitting down to watch my first MMA show I would have been impressed by the build up. I would have been impressed that the fight can end at anytime. But if I saw the Henderson/ Guida fight before hand I would have been going nuts about how awesome this sport was

exactly....loved seeing dana stewing in his own juices at the end......

that made very few new fans(unless your thing is the overhyping of one fight)...

Thankfully my JDS and JDS prop bet came through, would have been a disaster if JDS didn't come through:mj08:

Tiny loss of -0.80 Joe Rogans on the night.

MMA Record (since UFC 58)
---------------------------------------------
Prop Bet 43-80
Fighter vs. Fighter 296-460
Parlays 120-190

+4.96 Joe Rogans

New UFC champ Junior Dos Santos fought with torn meniscus at UFC on FOX

And he still whooped some Cain ass:00hour :00hour :00hour

i don't know i think guys hyping this Guida fight are doing it just because Dana didn't televise it. Was it that great of a fight? Cmon it was a good fight but 12 out of the 15 minutes were up against the cage. This fight wasn't even close to the Henderson/Miller fight. Again Clay gets cracked and sits there and tries takedown after takedown. There is nothing more boring than to watch a guy try for a takedown for four solid minutes. In my book Henderson won round one and two and Clay starts round three with yet another takedown attempt. Why do these guys do this? They lose round one and two and use the same theory for round three. Luckily Clay finally realize he had to fight. It was a good fight but not this super fight Dana haters are trying to make ya believe. good to see a few good cards coming up because all these no name guys are starting to turn me away.

I thought it was an awesome fight. It had everything you want

High stakes with a title shot on the line, Wild exchanges, close submissions with amazing escapes, both guys rocked, brutal knees, axe kicks, cage grappling and dirty boxing, excellent takedown defense, spinning back fists, back control, high kicks, drama and crowd reaction.

The only thing it did not have was a live TV audience (and maybe a finish)

Guida is now joint number 2 for Fight of the Nights alongside Tyson Griffin, Matt Wiman, Nate Diaz and Diego Sanchez

you just described the Henderson Miller fight. Clay needs to learn a new submission beside a choke. It was a good fight i just don't think it was as great as a lot believe. I just hate it when a fighter tries for minutes for that takedown. Tries and tries and tries and most times nothing happens but a whole lot of wasted minutes. Then again i didn't see any fights before it. Were those boring?

As for the Cain fight. when a guy has better hands and can stop a takedown with some cardio he is gonna be the better fighter. I was surprised as hell to see all those fighters predicting Cain was gonna win. Chuck won for years with this system. Until his jaw turned into glass that is.
