Not sure how everyone else feels about this card but it looks more entertaining to me than the last 2 or 3 UFC PPV cards.

And Dana:
Free tv with entertainment is always a good thing. :00hour

Vera is worth a look because I think this is a big step up for Jones but I don't think I'll take a chance against the young guy. Talk about rising stars in the sport and I think he has to be at the top of the list. I believe he's still on 22(I could be wrong).

I'm not a big Dos Santos fan but Gonzaga has the will power of crack addict with 10$ in his pocket. He will fold the first time his head gets a good crack. The only reason it won't be a really big bet is that I want to see Dos Santos and how he has progressed on the ground, assuming Gonzaga wants to try and get it there. His one loss is on the ground and although his standup is outstanding I don't think his ground game can match Gonzaga.

Lots of good fights but if Jones looks dynamic then I think a lot of guys at LHW are in trouble because he has a lot to learn and a lot of talent to do it with.

Dos Santos will beat Cain and will beat Brock. The hype Cain is getting will be squashed when Dos Santos knocks him out. I have been a Dos Santos fan before he smoked Werdum. Santos is the man, and he will maul Gonzaga. Gonzaga will get smoked. Yes I was in an elevator with Gonzaga, and he was a cool guy. But hanging out with kickserv ain't gonna allow you to beat Santos. Dos Santos and Mir have made me more money then anyone else, and I ain't going to stop betting on Dos Santos (or Mir) now.

Dos Santos by KO in the 2nd round.

Record since the start of 2009 29-17 +30.79

Vera +205 (not taking this fight)

I really like Vera in this fight even though I consider Jones the future of the LHW division. (stopppppppp)

I was trying to decide how much I was going to risk on Vera and was writing my thoughts when I decided to go back and watch some fights to see if it could steer me one way or the other on how much to bet. Well after watching some of Jones again and having him fresh on my mind I decided I will not be risking any money against him. My original thinking was that Vera was more experienced and whether it was on the ground or standing I thought he could hang with Jones. I don't think I'll be against Jones until he faces someone that will test his chin with some big shots and that guy isn't Vera. IMO he has Vera beaten at almost everything I use to handicap fights outside of experience. He has the length, speed, (IMO)better standup and his takedowns are sick. At this point I can't see Vera beating him because Vera doesn't have the power to KO him.

If anyone else sees something I don't please let me know. Maybe a play on Jones is the way to go here. I still can't get his spinning elbow to the back of Bonners head in the 1st round of their fight out of my head. The kid is DYNAMIC and very fun to watch and I have no desire to root against him at this point.

vera definitely has his work cut out for himself...jones is a beast...i was thinking alng the lines of gonzaga...i don`t think he`s the stiff that some seem to think he is based on the couture cut and the carwin lucky punch.....

i`m holding judgement on el cigano until he actually gets into a fight that lasts longer than 1 round...crocop went 3,basically playing defense....

werdum got caught cold...and if you watch the yvel fight, yvel was about an inch away from being the one putting the lights out...that`s the way it happens sometimes..

i haven`t seen this guy on the ground yet...i have seen gonzaga on the ground and he has some jiu jitsu tools....

and he`s a naturally thicker guy...

he`s a substantial dog,no doubt....cigano`s dangerous,particularly early.....but i think the guy is worth a play at +225...

maybe i`m wrong...

When I first saw Gonzaga, I thought he was going to be the future of the division, but he has looked like crap against some very tough guys. After seeing him bounce back I see great value in Gonzaga.

Gmrozz, I thought the same thing about GG but then once you see him get his will tested he seems to fold. I'm with GW and think if you're going to play a side then GG is it but I'm not risking my money on him.(opinion yes, money no LOL)

I'm pumped for these fights, should be a really good night of fights and it's free. :00hour

Vera to me is about the most boring fighter out there. He bored me to sleep in his match with Randy and the Tim Silva fight it was him that was stalling around. Unless he lands a kick to the head i see him getting beat and then complaining about the stoppage. Could go three tho as Vera stalls things up. If he couldn't tag Randy then how will he be able to hit Jones?
I could never bet Zaga. Like Lay says the guy has no heart. I have notice that Dos Santos winds a lot of his punches up and throws a lot of long winded uppercuts. He does look like he has a solid beard tho. Does anyone even know what camp Zaga fights with? Santos trains in the best camp of them all.

vera falls asleep and can get defensive vs somebody that threatens him...jones has so many weapons, that vera may go back into his shell...

vera can look like a world beater vs the right type of fighter........and believe me,i want to play him here at over 2-1(if the odds kepp going up,i still might)...but this appears to be a a bad style match-up...like jardine was...

layin`s analysis was pretty much spot on(imo).... it`s a tempting take....but probably the wrong decision..

Hey DirecTV guys, turn on Versus !
It's back up immediately
sweetness....just in time for the UFC this weekend

I guess all it took was some super shitty WEC ratings to get Dana White cracking some skulls over at Comcast and DirecTV

so glad they got this figured out prior to Sunday

vera can take a can apart fairly well, but when he meets resistance he reduces his offensive output considerably.

frustrating as hell to watch since he could have decisively beaten couture and jardine. in fact, i thought he won both fights, but he was capable of a much greater effort.

going into every fight vera says he will return to his aggressive ways, however, when he faces a credible opponent he invariably stinks it up.

that fucker won't get my money again.

and when he loses you can be sure that he'll say next time will be different.

I'm hoping the Irvin line keeps dropping. I like him but not for this price. I need something sub 150 and I'll take a stab. Probably won't get there but you never know.

IMO this is a pretty tough betting card.
