Damintt, I'm not feeling good about my Irvin play now. Hopefully he's sitting in his room with an IV in him right now. The ONE good thing is that is was right on the money with his weight. And by that I mean that he was struggling to get down or else he would have come in at 185.5 or higher. Good gosh, someone help me argue with myself. :mj07:

I'm just pumped for some good fights!!!!!

i have to say,i wouldn`t have known that was irvin if i didn`t know that irvin was fighting.....

i`ve seen anorexics look more hydrated...

and gonzaga looked soft...

watch the video and see the confrontation between vera and jones.....i thought jones had a height advantage...didn`t look like it...

Fkn hell , he probably lost tons of power as well .

J.Irvin wins in round 1 + 260 and straight Sakara win looks decent . I think if Sakara doesn't get laid out early in one of the exchanges he wont lose .

sounds like a plan...if irvin is as depleted as he looks,he just might think he needs to whack sakara as early as possible...

can`t underestimate that fricking altitude....word is if you aren`t used to it,it`s like having someone sitting on your chest when you exert yourself...

Houston Alexander , Drew McFedries and Chris Leben TKO'ed Sakara in combined 9 minutes , all in 1 round TKO . All of them have similar power punching style just like Irvin so I might rethink this one . A lot of people betting on Sakara for whatever reason but I don't like those stats . Sakara doesn't have impressive power , I mean he couldn't put freaking Sonosic away in 3 rounds who has super questionable chin .

i saw on fight finder that sakara doesn`t fair well with punchers...but,isn`t that why you`re hedging?..you can hedge heavy toward irvin and just take sakara as a break even...

in 19 irvin fights,5 got out of the 1st round...the martin tko happened seconds into rd 2...he`s only seen 2 decisions in hiis career(1 win/i loss)......7 of sakara`s last 8 have ended in the first...and his wins are tilted more heavilt toward stoppages...both have been k.o.`ed several times...

i understand it`s dicey betting round props...i don`t usually fair well with them...worth thinking about for a small play..t

With all those TKO losses I guess he could even lose in the first half of the 2nd round and both bets lose :mj07:
Irvin looks like he has lost A LOT of muscle and seems pretty weak , plus he hasn't fought in a while . Probably going with fight wont go to distance at - 500 in a parlay afterall . Either can stop each other , both have been stopped a lot of times , both can gas and neither is a great wrestler to lay and pray to a decision . Just need to find some other ''safe'' plays .

Ahh Kick,

My young Brother.

You are going to be on pins and needles for the first round. Nobody beats Gonzaga easily until AFTER the first round.

My big bet will be on Vera. I think he beats Jones unless another shit decision go's against him.
He is a Rob Kamen trained striker so I don't believe Jones fancy strikes are going to work this time.
Vera also has a good chin. Jones chin is untested and his stamina is suspect.
This is a MAIN EVENT,High Altitude fight for a kid who is only 22. This might be telling after the Adrenilin dump.
I LOVED how Vera was talking during the Pre-show. Strike and don't worry about the takedown. You are good enough to survive off your back.
Also don't be surprised to see Vera on top of Jones at some point as some of Jones throws are so fancy, he has to scramble from the bottom position.

I am LOVING this bet!!!!

Good luck guys :toast: :toast:

Wee, I was on Vera for my first bet and thought about making a nice size play on him but I'm just not seeing it. You are right when you say we don't know about Jones chin, the problem is we do know about Vera's punching power and it's not that great. Jone's should have a nice reach advantage and from the fights I've watched he should be much quicker. The one thing we really don't know about is whether or not Jones can defend sub attemps. At his age you would think that could be a weakness but I decided I couldn't hang my hat on that. I hope you're right for your sake since I don't have a dog in the fight I'm just hoping for a great one.

Good grief. I am so tempted.

Jardine.
Couture.
Jon Jones.

Do I dare try this again with Vera? Let's see how the rest of the card goes first.

I took Kongo ITD and Kongo-JDS parlay.

Good luck guys.

Some of u guys made a terrific point about the altitude. I like Jones but i thought he was gassin a bit against Bonner. He was all juiced up at the weighins. Forget it for me. I can't bet any of these guys unless i knew who got to Denver weeks earlier and who just got there. To risky for me. Have to love Vera tho. Talking about a fight of the year type of bout. What fight has Vera ever been in that was close to a fight of a night let alone fight of the year? I wonder if he ever listen to half the bullshit that comes out of his mouth.

I could care less about the altitude becasuse it's something they all have to deal with. Although I'm sure we'll here Rogan say "x" shouldn't be effected by the altitude because he's been training up at Big Bear, then we'll see that guy gas quicker than most. LOL
