Vera always talks a big game, but when a guy presses him he folds, Vera ain't gonna beat Jones. Sure, Jones is young and has lots to learn, but Jones "will bring it" and Vera will fold (as always). Then after the fight Vera will tell us "what could have happened". Same old, same old with Vera.

Kongo is a stupid fighter, Buentello has a shot, his odds are massive, always a good play to take big odds against a stupid fighter. This match is a "must win" for Kongo, and Kongo could just choke....again.

Clay Guida couldn't finish my grandma, the guy just lays on top of ya and does nothing. I think the judges give him points because of the hair. Gugerty pretty much sucks, but worth a shot at the big odds. Clay Guida may be the most over-hyped fighter in all of MMA. The odds on Gugerty are inflated because so many people think Guida is good. He isn't.

Love on the countdown show how Dos Santos said he watches tape on every opponent and decides where he needs to take the fight

I hate it when guys say "I don't need to watch tape" or "I'm not concerned about him, I only worry about me"

It's such a stupid thing to say. Dos Santos is a guy who takes the sport seriously

u wouldnt care if a guy got there a month ago and his opponent got there on thursday?

Sponge I should have stated why I didn't care about the altitude. This isn't like football or basketball where the Broncos or Thuggets have a clear advantage because they're from there and train there and the other team is just there for one game. These are professional fighters who know going into this what to expect and have adequate time to train for it. I have no way of knowing who did and didn't account for the altitude so I can't factor it in when looking at who wins and loses.

so far i`m down with a pierce/guida parlay as the lynchpin......laying a little less than 2-1....i hate doing it...but these look like the best of the bunch,imo...already bet it...

looking at a schaub/kongo/dos santos par with a gonzaga hedge.... .laying 2/3 to win 1

looking at dogs roberts and vera...not sure...still looking..

I wouldn't be to sure about that one. How many times we see guys stand with guys they have no business standing with? I bet we hear from at least one possibly two guys who blame the altitude on why he lost. "i didn't think it would be a factor" blah blah blah. I hope the odds stay up on my book right up till fight time because the first time i hear Rogan say something like "Dos Santos brought his camp a month early to deal with the altitude" Im jumpin in. Plus Zaga looks soft as usual so who knows when he got there.

If Kongo loses to Buentello he should never fight again
Every physical advantage in this fight

Buentello looked awful against Struve
Kongo should drop him hard and pound him out of there

Mir and Cain both a totally different level
Buentello is a straight bum

consider my previous post as my official picks.....

we got input(i.e.picks) from ke,layin`,kick(all dogs shocker!..lol)...wee weighed in with some nice stuff.....

we need some official opinions from coach k/spongy(fat chance),muhr(c`mon dude,you`re good...give us somethin`)/gmro(been on a roll..produce,my brother),brainiac(the deity from another site...throw down,my man)...boxing guru ghost kid/6`5"...

and bucsnotyucks-rowdy rider(i don`t care if you guys can`t come to a consensus in that shared brain...whoever has the keyboard tonight, please chime in)....

c`mon dudes...sack up...we`re getting bumped by a one-man european cricket thread...

I'm only betting on Kongo and Dos Santos GW
if they win I will take Vera

on the undercard, my picks are Guida, Pierce, Marshall

I couldn't bring myself to bet Sakara, no matter how Irvin looks. I think Sak will win, but his track record against power punchers is poo poo

thats what i got

One parlay in already:

PARLAY:
Jon Jones
Clay Guida
Josh Barnett(Dream)
Frank Mir(UFC 112) over Carwin
200 wins 430

Adding following for the night:

PARLAY:
dos Santos
Jones
100 wins 102

Straight play:
James Irvin(+132) over Sakara by KO/TKO for 100 wins 132.
--- I dont think Sakara can KO Irvin, but I think Irvin can indeed KO Sakara despite what Irvin looks like. I doubt these two punchers last 15 minutes.

Also threw in a late try on Chase Gormley(+240) over Brendan Snob for 50 wins 120. -- Gormley is not right in the head.

i'm just a fan right now, so i'm not looking too hard at these fights.

however, i think guida and kongo would be useful in a parlay.

i just don't see those fights having any of the signs of an upset.

im going Jones pretty big. Just saw an interview where he talked about the weighin and how he won't let being all jacked up effect him. also read were Zaga has been training in high altitude for over a month. Surprised about that one.

Jones for me.

not much opinion on the board on that one....

here`s a julio paulino highlight reel....very awkward and wild.....short of a big.lucky shot,i`ll be surprised if pierce`s wrestling doesn`t dominate this one....

as wild and hairy as paulino is,takedowns should be there for the taking...

My gut feeling tells either Jones or Junior will lose , both Gonzaga and Vera have a lot of tools to beat their opponents but they aren't the most mentally strong fighters when things get tough .
Wondering if Ludwig still has anything left as well .
